Chapter Six: Awakening
“No. Maybe? I mean- he was from project Hero so- Romeo amd Juliet I guess.”
Niderious sat next to the telescope. And looked up and put of the windows. It was such a lovely place.
“Huh.” He knew the answer. He seemed to be connecting a lot of dots lately. “Endless love is bullshit. They always leave.” He let his eyes wonder over the visible sky.
Niderious nodded, “I gave up on it a long time ago.”
Orion’s belt was out tonight. Shimmering for all the sky to see.
A wave of nostalgia and anger, with a touch of jealousy washed over him. Requiem loved whoever that Phosphorus character was more than him, and now he was sucking himself over realizing it. He didn’t care much for constellations, but the night sky was still very pretty.
Niderious looked back down at him curiously.
“What is love? I mean- to you?”
He crossed his legs and gazed at Adam. These answers always varied.
He was conflicted at that. “Seeing someone. Like actually seeing them, personality wise. Not being reminded of another person from a goddamn gift.” He let the jab slide off his tongue before going on. “Not making things black and white.” He kept his voice down for that. A little pool of emotions made his stomach tight, but he didn’t let them show of his face.
“I think it’s worthless. I mean… What’s the point?”
He kicked his legs back and forth before yawning, “Well I’m also part siren. So maybe that’s why, anyways I’m going to bed. Goodnight.”
"Night." It was pointless. He had known that from the moment he heard what Mishi said so many months ago. It was bullshit, and he punch himself for letting it happen. He stayed for a few minutes, before turning and going back to his room.
On the bed, lying on his back, he sighed. Requiem would call him unfriendly things for doing this, but he could suck it.
