āCongrats, Ichigo ~ Thatās a free meal on me fer pickinā thā actual, blunt answer.Ā See, yer good aā this.āĀ With the joke aside, it was a serious answer Ichigo figured out.Ā Gin knew this answer pretty quick when he first started, and he believed this hellhole of a place would be no different.Ā An Island paradise was the disguise, and what was hidden behind paradise?Ā He had no idea other than it wasnāt as pretty and it would not serve as a happy ending for anyone.
āNow donāt get me wrong.Ā There could be a possibly slip-up tā where we can escape or catch one oā them behind this off-guard.Ā Killinā em?Ā Proālly be bad fer all oā us.Ā They die, then who controls this place?Ā We find a way tā escape?Ā Sure, but how do we actually get back home?Ā Do we jusā appear back? or do we get loss ān some mess?Ā Could be similar tā the Senkaimon or Garganta back home, but what are thā odds?Ā We escape, but we get dropped ān a different world completely? or maybe jusā float around ān time anā space.Ā Frankly, itās scary tā think how bad we can mess things up āere.Ā Almost worthwhile tā deal witā Aizen all over again, wouldnāt ya say?ā if that wasnāt a truth.Ā Staying on the island seemed better than escaping, but that was his opinion.Ā Having a heavy bias considering he was alive now could be behind that.
āWhaā do ya enjoy eatinā, anyways?Ā Got a favorite?ā
Donāt get him wrong. Right.
As if anyone could get Ichimaru otherwise. Sure, heās laid out the facts but hell knows if theyāre all truth when Gin was best at poison tinted lies. Still, Kurosaki canāt figure out what the hell was more unnerving in the moment. The fact that Ichimaru seemed to be tellinā some sort of full truth or that heās actually leaning towards believing every word the guy says justĀ ācause of everything heās already seen.
Use his heart and not just his eyes to discern everything. If he hadnāt learned to pick up grittier intuition as fast as he can shoulder Zangetsu then his whole world would have fallen apart a long time ago. There aināt a lick of animosity in Ichimaruās claims and maybe the supposed snake has succumbed to the truths laying in wait at the end of his own abyss. Why lieĀ ābout the assholes who stuckĀ āem all there anyway?
Guess theyāre at a stalemate until they make it back to their own world. If they ever even do. He sighs in some stubborn half puff of defeat, shoulders lifting towards the nearest joint in town. Itās small, crowded but real simple. Best ramen and tea the whole ward got goinā on. Not too pricey either.
āHereās fine. Iām gonna go ahead and say it aināt as easy as fallinā back into our own world on our asses someday. If it was weād have probably walked back in by now.ā
