It is a bit difficult, I can tell you that because I'm trying to learn too 🤡 but having a hiperfixation in something like anime or manga helps a lot. I recommend you pixiv to practice reading! Listening to songs while reading the lyrics is a big YES too.

i love the idea of traveling!! i don't get to do it often except within the country for work though. i have a weird fear of going to a non-english speaking country and ending up lost, but you're right, if i could go i'd be going to japan. mostly to eat all their sushi.
