Sharks do not normally hunt humans. When they do attack a human, it is usually a case of mistaken identity. ・・・ Contrary to popular belief, sharks do not mistake humans for seals. Many attacks occur in waters with low visibility or other situations which impair the shark's senses. The species appears to not like the taste of humans, or at least finds the taste unfamiliar. Further research shows that they can tell in one bite whether or not the object is worth attacking. Humans, for the most part, are too bony for their liking. The remainder of the time is mostly spent grazing in shallow waters at depths of 1–2 metres ・・・ Their slow-moving, curious nature, coupled with dense coastal development, has led to many violent collisions with propeller-driven boats and ships, leading frequently to maiming, disfigurement, and even death. At first glance, this fire worm looks like a centipede with its elongated and flattened appearance, multiple segments, white silks, and parapodia and gills located on the side of its body. Its colors are varied and range from greenish, to yellowish, to reddish, grayish through white with a pearly glow.

In the video, you can hear people laughing and whistling at sea lion and holding their hands over the water, as if they were holding a treat. ・・・ At one point, the sea lion lunges within inches of the little girl's face. It seems like a friendly move, and the girl cackles with delight. ・・・ That glee turns to terror a few seconds later, when the seal lunges again -- grabbing the girl and yanking her backwards into the water. If the wave is about 10 ft tall and the lip (top) of the wave is about 20 ft long, the wave itself weighs about 410 tons, which is equal to about 315 small cars. ・・・ Surfing is scarier than it looks, but the bottom line is, respect the ocean. There are risks, just as there are with every sport. However, the sailfish is undoubtedly fast. It's predatory behavior and its body structure demonstrate its capacity for speed. Like the nose of a jet its rapier-like bill has been shown to cause what's called low resistance flow, or in other words, good fluid or hydro-dynamics. ・・・ It has been recorded as reeling out 300 ft (91 m) of a fisherman's line in three seconds. That would be faster than a sprinting cheetah, although this speed would include its leaps out of water which shouldn't really count as swimming speed. Some estimate 60 mph (96 kph) or faster. At least two recognized subspecies exist, in the North Atlantic and the Southern Hemisphere. It is found in all the major oceans, from polar to tropical waters. It is absent only from waters close to the ice pack at the poles and relatively small areas of water away from the open ocean. ・・・ Like all other large whales, the fin whale was heavily hunted during the 20th century and is an endangered species. Over 725,000 fin whales were reportedly taken from the Southern Hemisphere between 1905 and 1976, as of 1997 only 38,000 survived. ・・・ The International Whaling Commission issued a moratorium on commercial hunting of this whale, although Iceland and Japan have resumed hunting. The species is also hunted by Greenlanders under the IWC's Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling provisions. 🌀 You don't see this very often do you..?🐍🐍 ––——––——––——|🔹|––——––——––—— 🔘 #SavingtheWaves ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sea snakes seem pretty cool.  Although all snakes can swim, sea snakes live mostly in the water.  They do need to come up for air but can stay under water for up to an hour! Wow, try holding your breath that long!  Since they need air regularly they are usually found in shallow waters of the Indian Ocean, and warmer areas of the Pacific Ocean.  They eat fish, fish eggs and eels that they find under rocks and in reefs. ・・・ There are about 30-50 different types of sea snakes and they belong to the Cobra family.  The average Sea snake grows to about 2 meters long and has a smallish head for its body size.  Their tails are flattened to make fast swimming possible and flaps over their nostrils close when they are underwater. ・・・ Sea snakes are very poisonous.  The most poisonous one is the Beaked Sea Snake.  Just 3 drops of venom can kill about 8 people!
