Half-cropped ears flicked back as he silently observed the black furred Belgian Shepherd succeed in catching the rabbit. He’d been keeping an eye on the other for a few days now, debating whether or not to make an offer to join Hougen’s army. As far as Ronan could tell Wolf was currently a neutral dog. 

Ronan was going to observe for a while longer when Wolf called out and the Anatolian Shepherd froze on the spot, internally cursing himself for subconsciously shifting his weight but he supposed that delaying would only provide Weed’s army with the opportunity to recruit Wolf instead so Ronan stood and pushed his way through the undergrowth with a small smirk on his maw.

Peace had reigned across Futago pass for as long as Hikari could remember. Until one night that peace was shattered by a ‘monster’ that turned out to be a dog that had been betrayed by the Humans and used as nothing more than an experiment. 

When the threat of Kaibutsu had passed Hikari had hoped that peace would return to Futago pass but more trouble soon arose in the form of Hougen.

Helen tensed as she listened to Gideon’s pleas to be untied and forced herself to focus on making sure the gun in her hands was loaded. Only Gideon’s statement that she wouldn’t regret looking made her pause long enough to look over at the handsome, crazed, survivor and respond with a simple ‘no’ before she slid the clip back into the gun.

Of all the people Sergio had ever expected to run into during this whole mess, Takehaya wasn’t one of them. It was unnerving to find the man looking so forlorn and... broken? Especially when Sergio remembered that Hiroshi had always spoken of how resilient Takehaya could be. 

As desperate as Sergio was to find more supplies for himself he knew he wouldn’t feel right taking from a man who had clearly lost too much already. 

The sound of Abel’s voice in the next aisle over had Adrian pausing, head cocking curiously to one side for a moment before he quietly made his way down the aisle he was in to peer around the corner at Abel as they reached across the mostly empty shelf to grab an unopened packet of cookies. 

A wide grin spread across Adrian’s lips as he noticed the lack of a blindfold before he stepped into view, raising a hand in a friendly wave. 

The venom in Wolf’s voice as he threatened to shoot if she didn’t back away from the door surprised Helen. Wolf had never threatened her or spoken to her so darkly before and that frightened her. The fact that Wolf wouldn’t let her open the door to Ravit scared her even more. 

“Wolf... It’s just Ravit--” She tried to reason, refusing, for now, to step back from the door. “She’s practically your sister...”

“Huh? Oh um... Yeah... We-- I am fine.” Helen responded, carefully moving to sit up and trying not to seem like she wasn’t actually completely and totally freaking the hell out. 

Where in gods name was she? cause it sure as hell wasn’t in Britain anymore. Helen glanced around as casually as she could before focusing on the... Person? beside her. 

Hikari stopped mid-step as she heard Naruto’s exclamation over her presence, a brow raising slightly before she turned to face the other and study him curiously. He was definitely taller than she’d expected him to be but asides from that nothing else surprised her.

“Wha-- Oh! Shit!” Hikari leapt to her feet to dart after Eito, stuffing the book she was currently reading into her bag before she shouldered it. “Eito wait for me!” 

Hikari quickly hurried to Eito’s side and glanced at her teammate, wondering if Eito was as nervous about the exam as she was. 

“W..what– No I’m not.” Hikari stammered, a bright blush colouring her cheeks as she hurriedly looked away from Kabuto before she scowled at Eito. “And even if I was you’re no better droolin’ over Asuma-Sensei all the time.”
