What am I up to?

For the first week of January I didn't get all of the things done that I would have liked to. I'm realizing since I'm trying to sell my work, that's going to have to take a priority over the music for a while, however I do want to keep growing and learning as a musician as well. I'm trying out a new schedule this week where I spend most of my day working on art projects and then about 4 hours music divided between writing, piano, viola and lyrics. I'll continue to post my work! Off to a bumpy start since it's my birthday week, I plan to get back on track by Thursday as I have given myself permission to celebrate a little!

I don’t like the way this sounds but I finished setting up all the forms for this song. I won’t have time to get it sounding the way I want by the end of the week. My instinct is to just leave it and move on from it but I'm going to stick with it until I get it sounding how I want it to. I do really like the slower “chorus” parts though.

This is coming out pretty cool. I wish I had put more detail into it but I was trying to stick to my schedule this week. I have an idea for a new schedule that will allow me to spend more time working on art, I'll explain in my review of the week I'll post tomorrow.

I like where this is going to far. I’m using more orchestral sounds in this and I tried using a drum beat too, not super crazy about that part.

I finished the lyrics for #22 or “Electricity.” I honestly really like these. Not too crazy about the chorus but I’m sure I can figure out something better when I come back to edit this one. I really like this and I think once it goes through editing I will include it on my first “album”

Learned about the intervals in a minor scale in more detail, as well as looking at triads in more detail.
