Is it bad that I wanted a baby girl for this very reason!  Dressing up and being fun and girly is just a vibe.  My baby girl, Murray knows all about it and I’m just so obsessed with her!  

I made a post before featuring this cafe in Flushing, Queens called M Tea.  I wanted to go back to this place because we were only able to shoot downstairs the first time during the pandemic.  I said, I want to go to the cute little booths and have tea with my daughter, and so that’s exactly what we did.  It was so much fun.

To know me is to know that I love tea.  I drink it everyday and I genuinely enjoy the raw taste of it.  Meaning, I don’t add sugar or milk to it (to ruin it lol).  I learned extensive knowledge about tea at one of my previous jobs and now I find myself trying all the afternoon tea services across the city.  

I got a coupon from pulsd and had a Champagne tea with my friend Jhanna.  These blue suede boots have taken afternoon tea to a new level.  All the details on my outfit below.

New York is my Nationality

My style is ever evolving but I do notice that whatever I do choose to wear, it reflects my New York persona.  When I am feeling the chic city style or the grungy urban street wear, New York is part of my attitude and it reflects my uniform.  It is so much a part of who I am and I love it so much.

The Coffee Shop

There is nothing like a quaint coffee shop to make a writer or creative feel at home.  Even if Im not writing, coffee shops make me feel warm and welcome.  Something hot to drink awaits in these cold months and the same can be iced to adjust to summer temperatures.  I’ll have an oat milk cappuccino with a little cinnamon on top. Birthday in Montclair

Last week I celebrated my birthday in Montclair, New Jersey with my family and some friends.  We stayed at the MC Hotel and had an amazing dinner at Faubourg.  I really had an amazing time and I loved how chill the vibe was.  I also loved having my husband and daughter with me.  Turning 32 had me realizing how much I’ve grown and evolved, even in simple situations like wearing the comfortable shoes over the hot girl shoe.  Nevertheless, I managed to show out in this outfit.

My First Shoott

As a fashion blogger and stylist, it is important to do photoshoots and really pay attention to the way that fashion moves through time.  But sometimes it is hard to find a photographer to shoot with because it can be expensive and time consuming.  Sometimes its also hard bothering friends and family to take photos the way you want them. I finally found a positive solution!  A new company called Shoott.  Basically you schedule a photoshoot that is convenient to you and your time and they pair you with a professional photographer for 30 minutes. (I don’t know about you but sometimes I just need 15 minutes.). The photoshoot is free and then you for only pay for the photos that you want to keep.  The more photos you get, the cheaper they are.   I found this whole experience to be very pleasant.  Everything from my photographer, Kimberly to receiving and choosing the photos.  I was very pleased and I am ready for my next shoot.

My Dream World

My friend, Jhanna and I found this really cute tea place called M Tea in Flushing, Queens.  The decor is so dreamy and everything is pink, white and gold.  The most stunning piece was this indoor air balloon.  The whole place is unreal.  It was an opportune time to go during the pandemic because there is no one in there and you can take pictures.  But they only let you take pictures on Wednesday.  (Good thing I called.)

Chanel Who?  Denise Melissa instead?

I absolutely love and appreciate Chanel bags.  I think they are so classic, yet simple and beautiful.  Unfortunately, I cannot afford a real one yet.  So as of now, I am into other quilted bags that resemble Chanel bags.  And yes I would like it to look as close as possible to the original. 

So I came across an Instagram account, @denisemelissa_.  These bags are amazing and made with genuine Italian leather and it looks just like a Chanel bag.  I know some people feel like, oh that’s fake so its bad, but nowhere on the bag does it say Chanel or have two C’s.  Its just a bag that was made to look like a Chanel bag.  It is not impersonating a Chanel bag so I see no harm for the people who can’t afford a $5,000 bag.  

I love this bag.  It is beautiful and it was a little more than $100 with shipping and tax.  I get compliments on it everyday and sometimes it fools people.  They can’t believe it.
