i loved that they brought back so many season 1 characters and honestly biblically accurate armand does it for me, finally talking about louis being a pimp, someone who made his "money with flesh" and how that impacted his relationship with armand a guy who was sold as a child. he feels like an empty room jesus

idk this episode and honestly the whole season was kinda messy but this episode in particular did feel very book accurate. and i say that as someone who doesn't particularly like the vampire chronicles and much prefers the show but i do mean this as a compliment this time. it was winding and meandering and repetative and violent and strung together with a wisp of the soul of god and idk i liked it
