thinking abt how hal & kyle are the cause of both the best and worst things to ever happen to each other and how their rises and falls almost always happen in conjunction with each other and going insane! kyle becomes a lantern in the first place, one of the best (and simultaneously worst) things to ever happen to him, because hal gets turned into parallax, one of the worst things to ever happen to him kyle is the one who finds parallax hal and convinces him to come back to earth and help, which is where parallax hal dies and is the only reason he's even remotely remembered as a hero and not a villain, and parallax hal's death was the reason kyle was turned into the first ion after hal comes back, he's a pariah despised by a lot of the lanterns for what he did to them while he was parallax, while ion kyle is the most beloved green lantern in the entire corps and THEN ion is taken from kyle, he's possessed by parallax, too, murders lanterns exactly like hal did, and is stopped by hal, who is now pretty much regarded as the hero of the corps again while kyle has fallen from his pedestal like! the drama! the tragic parallels! the inherent erot icism of being possessed by the same eldritch horror! they literally have it ALL
