bloodbound crew as taylor swift albums:
bloodbound mc is incredibly brave, she’s passionate about her love interest and her friends, but will also not hesitate to put someone in their place. for that i’d say she’s definitely a red girlie. she’s also canonically 22 in the first book, which makes this album extra fitting.
i was between evermore and ttpd, i think she definitely fits both, but i decided to go with evermore. it’s one of taylor’s most mature albums and it’s themes of heartbreak, regret, loss, nostalgia, and ultimately acceptance are all very kamilah. the closing track being it’s time to go also fits her arc very well, with her finally choosing to accept and move on from her past.
our favourite romantic, adrian is definitely a lover. despite the overarching love theme of the album, there’s also several songs in it with a heartbreak or anxious theme. as such, similarly to the album, there’s inner struggle in adrian, despite a generally optimistic demeanour. the political songs in there also align with his humanitarian beliefs.
i think 1989 best suits lily’s upbeat personality. the album is about navigating being a young adult, living in a new city (the very city bloodbound happens to be set in) and all the struggles and experiences that come with that. lily is thrown into a lot of new and difficult experiences upon being turned. the album is ultimately about finding yourself, and lily manages to remain unapologetically herself whilst also adapting to this new world.
speak now emphasises standing up for yourself and not letting anything remain unsaid. jax always sticks to what he believes in, standing up for both himself and the clanless. it has many confrontational songs, and jax isn’t shy in confronting those who treat others unfairly.
i think all characters could definitely suit other taylor albums, but i think these ones fit each character particularly well.
