8月です。撮影後記です。

今月は、別寒辺牛湿原を走る根室本線（花咲線）で撮影した一枚です。5月に続き、昨年の道東撮影行でのカットです。

まっすぐに伸びる線路の向こうから列車が近づいてくる構図は、以前からよく撮っているお気に入りの題材です。でも、この場所には、道東ならではの雄大な自然が広がり、ほかでは味わえないスケール感があります。

遠くにヘッドライトが見えてからも、列車はなかなかこちらへやってきません。ファインダー越しに様子をうかがうと、どうやらシカの群れが線路の上にいて、行く手を阻まれているようでした。何度も汽笛を鳴らし、ゆっくりとそしてわずかに車体を揺らしながら湿原を進んでくる姿は、この土地ならではの光景だったように思います。

写真には、その場の空気や時間の流れまで写ることがあると感じています。‘内地’とはどこか違う、ゆったりとした時間が流れる道東の風景を、またいつか撮りに行きたいです。
