My child will not be allowed to use chat gpt. He will be smarter and stronger than the other children and he will kill them easily.

Sure AI might poison the lands around us, contribute to mass psychosis, raise our energy costs, steal all of our art and intellectual property without repercussion, exploit workforces in poor countries, give execs reasons to fire you, and ultimately widen the wealth gap, but at least we'll have a little guy on our phones telling us things a google search already could've!

every day of my life people say shit to me that makes me go "and you're proud of that?"

like i had a coworker complain about the smell of someone who biked to work in the summer, and she was actually fake throwing up talking about "it's the worst thing i've ever smelled" so i said "ok so you've never worked a single food service or logistics or care job. and you've never changed a baby." and she went "nope! and i never will!"

and it's not like i'm some self sufficient tough guy or anything, i just think that if you're confronted with an unfamiliar aspect of the human experience and you respond by insisting that you couldn't possibly be like the many people who do, in fact, live like that every day, that is stupid and cowardly
