Getting up at 4am; Cons: cold AF Pros: catching Sky sleeping in Aidens cubby 😍

For the first time in 2 years I got up at 5am and went to a HIIT class. It sucked. In a good way. Then I got home, showered and lay back down next to my beautiful boy still sleeping. He absent mindedly crawled onto me and hugged me. No idea I had taken that hour for me. Mums, take the time you need for you. Don't feel guilty, your kids will thank you for it. Your needs are important. ❤

Good morning Each day comes down to a few decisions that have a ripple effect. So, this morning, on the way to work call that friend you have been meaning to call just to say hi. Just to say I think about you and I miss you. Let your 'down' time be focused on those you love not thinking about your to-do list or replaying that conversation 1000 times . Tonight saw the culmination of a few months. I wasn't going to post this but maybe someone else will see this and realise they are not alone and to speak up. Straight off the bat, my husband does heaps, well more than most, my in-laws are next level and my mum is literally the only reason my family have been eating home made meals and wearing clean clothes. I love my son. I love my work. I love my life. But I am F U C K I N G E X H A U S T E D. Tonight after effectively being ushered away with an inconsolable child, I pulled over and cried on the side of the road for a solid 10 minutes. Months and months of running on deficit caught up to me and I dropped the emotional bundle. And you know what. That's ok. It's not ideal, but it's fine all the same. I know there are some who may feel the have it 'harder' or 'easier', and maybe they do. But this is not about 'better' or 'worse', it's about recognising where YOU are and understanding that that's ok. So do me a favor, don't pull a 'Sara', talk to your friends, partner, mum, anyone! When you feel that level rising, just bitch about being tired, complain that you need help, and accept when they offer. ITS OK! DO IT! And as one of my best friends did today, ask people, are you ok? It might be the push someone needs to get it all out! Just getting it out lifts half the weight. As always, be kind ❤ #bekind
