“Notice how I’m not complaining. I haven’t been to the beach in ages. I need a tan before I fall into the pasty white category!”

“Exactly!  I mean let’s face it,  you look fabulous already,  but it’s true that a little bit of color never hurt anybody!  Plus, a trip to the beach is always worth it just to see all the boys gawk over you, and watch them do stupid things to try and impress you. They always think you’re laughing with them when most of the time you’re just laughing at them. The entertainment value is endless I swear.”

“Hehe don’t worry, you’re definitely not the first person I’ve kissed to take it this way.  Believe me. You’ll be back to normal before you know it. But in the meantime, yes lets get going! The waves and the sand are calling our names!”  

“I like you.” Alexis said with a smirk. “But why don’t we bring things up a notch? I know there’s this bonfire thing that a frat house is doing on the beach tonight. Why don’t we try sneaking into that? I mean we’re probably succeed with the right about of flirting.”

“Oh so you heard about it as well?” Sarah said, mirroring the girl’s smirk with one of her own. “Well then, I suppose this means I’m not going to have to try and talk you into joining the party once we get to the beach like I thought I might. I said the beach because I figured that if I flat out told you we were going to a party, then you might say no. A lot of people would. But clearly I underestimated you. Not a mistake I will make again, I promise you. Not to sound like a copycat or anything, but I like you. I think we’re going to get along just fine”

“Heh, yeah I’m not sure that I’m—” 

“Okay!  So, from here on out I  will be the judge of what exactly you are, and aren’t cut out for. Because I know there’s an adventurer inside of you. I can see it in your eyes when I talk about doing something exciting, and I can definitely see it right now. You just need to let her out! And I am going to help you do exactly that”

“ The beach sounds… exactly what I need right now.  Then again, so does Seattle.  Or any trip away from here, as soon as possible— please. ”

“Oh you totally should have come! It was a really great trip and it only would have been better with another person. But hey, you do know what that means don’t you? It just means there will have to be another trip in the very near future! I would say we should go now, but I’ve spent so much of the past 5 days on the road that I think I need to give myself a little break before I take another long trip like that. Fortunately the distance between here and the beach is not a long drive. So lets go!”

“You know, I did take notice of my lack of options… To the beach ?  I mean, I guess.  Not that I had a real say in the matter anyway.  Sure.”

“Oh come on Claire! This is exciting! So where exactly is your excitement? You need to loosen up and live a little!  Do something crazy. Something that absolutely no one would ever expect of you; not even yourself. Here I’ll give you an example.”

“As long as we get to watch either Chicago Fire or Friends i am completely happy with our new found match made in heaven!”

“Okay seriously, the more you talk, the more convinced I become that you are my actual soulmate. I’m literally obsessed with Chicago Fire right now, and there’s honestly never a bad time for watching Friends. It’s like you know all the right things to say. Wait, you don’t read minds do you?”

“Well, it’s interesting you think of it that way. In my sense it meant your mind was being imprisoned and the clothes were your shackles, but I really like that point of view of yours. Courtyard sounds like a fun place to bare it all. Honestly, Sarah, you’re the girl of my dreams. Get naked with me.”

“Oh shut it with that talk.” Sarah said,  rolling her eyes a little,  although she did give him a small smile anyway. Without further ado, she began undressing, pulling her shirt over her head, before her eyes returned to his face, her own wearing an expectant expression. “Alright, your turn bucko. Don’t think for a second that I’m going to just let you stand there and watch me undress without having to show some skin yourself” She smirked, shaking her head.

“Seriously? Are you trying to escape having to be around your parents as well? I’ve always wanted to get out and drive down the coast, such a stereotypical thing to do.”

“Of course! But no, I’m actually not trying to escape spending time with my parents, because they weren’t able to make it to this weekend, being in London and all. No, what I’m trying to escape is my boredom. I haven’t done anything exciting in days! But I would say going on a spontaneous road trip with a pretty blonde definitely remedies that. Ah yes, now see that does sound a bit stereotypical. But luckily for you, I’m coming along. I’m sure I’ll be able to think of some ways to make the trip far more memorable than the average. So what would you say to making this trip from here to Seattle with a stop in San Francisco? We may have to miss a day or two of school though.”

“Just when I thought I was going to get to glide through parents weekend alone, I get a call that daddy dearest is coming after all, any chance I can convince you to hit the road with me? We can change our identities, live like Bonnie and Clyde and never look back.”

“You’re kidding me right? Like seriously, is that really even a question? Yes I absolutely want to hit the road! There is already no such thing as a bad time for a road trip, and considering the circumstances here, I’d say now is literally a perfect time for one. So let’s go! I’ll drive!” 

“Well, I am pretty kissable. I’m not sure I can really hold that against you, but then again, I do know something else I can hold against you.” Charlie fluttered her eyelashes before waggling her eyebrows in a silly manner.

“Of course you can’t! You see your pretty face in the mirror every day! So how could you possibly hold it against anyone that they wanted to kiss you? You can’t! It’s just too understandable a thing to want” Sarah said with a small laugh. “But please, do tell me what this other thing you could hold against me is. I’m curious now”

“Only if you like to watch netflix and gossip while we eat. I also offer margaritas and candy afterwards or during”, Olivia offered, as she grabbed a slice. “And you can choose the toppings for the next one”. 

“Okay..let me just ask you, have you had people turn down this offer before? And if so, did you at least have them analyzed for brain damage? Because what you just described sounds like what I think heaven would to be like, and I would imagine that you would have to have suffered a serious head injury to say no to that” Sarah joked with a grin as she moved on to her second slice. “And also I must say, I never would have expected these toppings to go together so well, but as I think this is the best pizza I’ve ever had, I think I’ll leave the topping picking to the mastermind that you apparently are”

“We can do it anywhere, really. But I would consider doing it inside since security caught me once when I was running through the courtyard. But if you’re up for some high adrenaline streaking, you’re the girl I’ve been looking for.” 

“Aww but really, where’s the fun in that? It’s only really freeing if people can see you and you still can say “Yes I’m free and in my natural form, and no your judging eyes do not scare me or shame me into hiding it” So yeah, doing it inside is really no good, unless we’re going to go streaking through the halls. But honestly now I just want to do it somewhere where we’ll be chased because that girl that you say you’ve been looking for? The one who will do something this crazy but also this fun? Yeah that’s me”

“Mmm no. However I did consider the possibility that you got it delivered to the wrong address on purpose because you knew that a certain pretty blonde lived there, and knew that she would have to bring it over here for you“ She laughed a little, shaking her head. “Although admittedly your explanation seems quite likely now that you mention it. I suppose mine was sort of wishful thinking.”

Taking the money in her hand, she stared at the extra bill he had placed there for a moment before scoffing slightly. “Oh, well would you look at that. Looks like we have a real gentleman on campus” Sarah joked, rolling her eyes a bit. “Listen, I don’t mind doing this this one time. But if it happens again, I can make no promises that you’ll get the pizza next time. So I would suggest that you learn your dorm address moving forward”

“Uh no, not my pizza but it seems whoever ordered it doesn’t care for it. I’ll give you six dollars and we could split it since I could use a slice.”

“Sounds like a deal to me. And a much better plan than what probably would have happened had you not suggested it. See, I would have gone back and shut myself in my dorm,  eaten the whole pizza to myself while binge watching Chicago Fire, and then instantly regretted my life choices”
