“I doubt I need to get tested, Ave. I’ve only been with one guy, and he’s never been with anyone else, that I know of. I’m as clean as it gets, I promise.”

“But no, girl, listen to me, as your friend you should go. Really. You never know what you pick up in gross places, you don’t just have to have sex.”

“I’ve been babying you your whole life.” He commented. It was a lie, of course, they’d only been friends for a few years. “It’s time to buck up, soldier.”

“Then why stop now? Why try and fix a perfectly good thing Shawn?” she pouted, “Noooo, I am a princess, I shall forever be a princess. Unless I become a Queen.”

“I’m not necessarily sure that’s something to be proud of.” She spoke. “The monthly testing, not the being clean part. You should be very proud that you don’t have any STDs.”

“Nooo, monthly testing is good, very good idea when you’re sexually active. It healthy. Proactive, and you should too! Get stuff tested, you know, you never know what you could get from a dirty toilet seat as well...”

“You have never been a dainty flower a day in your life, Ave.” Shawn laughed. “Go try that shit on someone who’ll actually believe it.”

“Hey! Yes I have, I am a princess, remember?” she smiled, “But Shaaaawn, you’re supposed to baby me”

“I have two words for you: spray tan”. 

“I always look so orange after! I don’t think my skin is good for it, or I’ve just gone to horrible places...”

“So all the memes are lies? Where is the hot people in this world?”

“Unfortunately yes, uhm, actors? I think they all went and became actors, except maybe for a few stray pizza boys”

“You look brilliant love, just like always.” Oliver retorted at her comment about a bad tan line. Which was something Oliver found himself having a bit of an issue with ever since coming to the states. After all, London wasn’t exactly the sunniest place. “You missed me did you?” Oliver couldn’t help but allow a wide spread grin on his face. “I missed you too.” 

“Why thank you,” she laughed, “Of course I did! You’re one of my favorite people! I honestly though about going to London when the school was closed, were you back home?”

“Uhm Excuuuse me” she dragged out her words, “I know I am perfectly clean thank you. I get tested monthly.”

“Your arm is all healed. No more injury excuses anymore, Avenly Jones. Time to face the music.”

“But, but” she pouted, “The doctor said I had to be careful with it... I’m a dainty flower you know...”

“It’s not really that spectacular.” Shawn joked, looking down at the tan line. “It’s just another shade of pale.”

“Hey!” she laughed, “That’s not very nice you know. I’m injured, fragile, pity me.”

“So you couldn’t even manage a “welcome back Davenport. It’s brilliant to see you mate. London did you well”? Right, we’ll give it another go. I’ll walk in again, and you attempt to be a bit more articulate this time round mate.” 

“Sorry, I was a bit distracted, I got my cast off today, and I have a horrible looking tan line... How have you been Oliver? I missed you”

“I have a new hottie in mind, you can totally say no, though. Oscar Isaac?”

“Oh yes! He was in the new Star Wars, yeah? Of course!”

“I thought you had the cute doctors over here. I’m not that naive to think that Grey’s Anatomy is real, but maybe there could have been a slight possibility?”

“Yeah, no, you typically don’t get cute doctors unless they are hosting clinical there, which means it’s just all the college wannabe doctors there. That’s were all the hotness is, trust me.”

“Guess who found out she’s allergic to bee stings? Hospitals are boring here and in the United Kingdom, I don’t know why I expected that to be different”

“Yeah, they mostly are just quiet and smell like alcohol, and not the fun kind.”

“You know what’s fun? That your Dad takes you out of your school environment just so you can go shake hands with people you might not vote for and photo ops. I had important tests that I have to makeup for”

“Movie marathon? I’ll let you pick out whatever you want. Test and study can always wait for after Ryan Gosling”
