seeing him again

that’s the only thing that has kept you calm this week

the prospect of seeing him again

of kissing him

of spending the morning with him

of making breakfast with him

the feeling you get when starting the day with him compares to nothing else in your life

and now you have to wait another month

all because you don't get service in your fucking apartment

all because he couldn’t reach you when he was waiting for you

i can visualize you in your bed, surrounded by your art and books

in your boxers, on your laptop

i wish your hand was on my thigh instead of your trackpad

i’ve been missing you while you were gone

too much

i don’t even know if anxiety is the right word

I'm anxious about writing about what is bothering me, but more anxious about the way it is written, if it’s good enough
