The other day, I was talking to a friend and he suddenly says, "Oh my god, do you have blue eyes? Or are those contacts?" After assuring him that they were not contacts, he said that he'd always thought that they were brown. This is like the seventh time this has happened to me. Do people just not look at my face? I'm sure there's a boob joke in there somewhere, but they're honestly not remarkable.

So if they're looking me in the eye when we're speaking, what are they seeing? How do people perceive me? Do they look right through me? Am I not even there? Just a placeholder, an instrument for vowels and consonants?

Sometimes I just feel invisible.
