And then this thought crossed my mind: what if she went to school with Hecate and Pippa ? And seeing how Pippa was smart, pretty and popular, she naturally wanted to be friends with her (which reminds me of Draco Malfoy trying to befriend Harry - and Ethel trying to be best friends with Mildred when she thought she was Ada’s niece). She couldn’t get over the fact that Pippa chose someone like Hecate over her so naturally, she tried everything she could to tear their friendship apart until one day, she succeeded to do just that (I firmly believe that Hecate didn’t leave Pippa of her own accord, but was convinced by someone that Pippa would be better off without her).
