Guys I think we as a collective moved on from Rotten Girl Miku way too fast. Like you’re telling me there is a Fujoshi Hatsune Miku that goes to a catholic school?? And the whole song is about her catholic guilt about the fact that she likes yaoi a bit too much??? Why are we not talking about her every day??
And yes, I made her hair sooo greasy, because I just know it would be.

I also wanted to post some of the phases my drawings go through (specifically coloring/ rendering)
Base Colors: I just layed out the base colors and some shadows and highlights. For this piece, I used a watercolor brush!
Render: Here I did most of the rendering, defining things and adding/deleting smooth shadows or highlight. I also started to incorporate the lineart into the overall drawing.
Full Piece: I finished everything up by adding details, colors grading/ lighting, and a background!
I still have reanimal brainworms, someone get them out
Guys I locked in. I’ve been wanting to make art with less intense rendering, and this is the first try of that. I think next time I might try only cell shading, but we’ll see!

I never really got into Little Nightmares because it came out when I was a bit younger, but I am going bonkers I love this game so much. I am so not normal about this video game. Like actually
15!Dazai you will always be famous. This was a quicker drawing, with less detail, but I really like it! I tried to base the character from the manga instead of the anime, because that’s my favorite portrayal of him!

Grian!!! I lovelovelove hermitcraft and the life series! This is the first fanart I’ve made of mcyt characters, and it was v fun! I decided to go back to a simpler art style (Because I cannot draw in a consistent style to save my life.)
Static! Miku!!! I absolutely love this song and the whole premise around it. So many art opportunities. I tried to go more semi-realistic this time, so I may have missed the mark. Still, drawing this was super fun!
i finally drew abaddon! and here’s a bit for those who care about historical clothing and stuff.

i altered his clothing to be more accurate for a child living in the 1700s. i believe his outfit was inspired by those of the puritans, which would make sense with the father of the boy he possessed being a priest. also, this isn’t entirely accurate, because of both the buckles on the shoes and the belt(?) around his shirt. i may be wrong, but from the images i saw when doing some research, tops were typically long and loose-fitting without a belt. I also think his outfit was inspired by modern depictions of pilgrims with the buckled belt and shoes, but those aren’t very accurate, especially when discussing children’s clothing. however, since the belt is kind of major in his design, i decided to add it in, but moved it up so it sort of resembles the ribbon that was occasionally on the shirts of puritan children. and regarding the buckles on the shoes, i believe they were more commonly worn down in the virginia colonies, not the new england ones where the puritans lived. i included them anyway and just decided to make the other aspects of the shoes accurate.
this was super interesting to research, so if i got anything wrong, def let me know!
