“But then what happens if their loved ones aren’t here?  Or they can’t be sensed anywhere and it turns out whatever happened here killed them?  Things could go bad very quickly.”

“What kind of stuff?” He asked her before nodding. “I mean, I get it. You are pretty.”

“I think they use it to advertise things.  But I haven’t really asked too many questions.   Thank you though. Not too bad looking yourself.”

“Very true words.”  Saphira smiled. “You’ll never succeed if you don’t try.  Is there something you’re hoping to conquer?”

“I know right? Ugh. He was trying way too hard.” Cindy laughed. “Some guys just have no game.”

“Too desperate is just so unattractive. It’s unfortunate, but he just didn’t know when to give up.”

“I’m not sure what that is, but okay.”

“I pose for pictures and they do stuff with them.  I don’t know really, it’s just fun and they tell me I’m pretty.”

Leslie shyly goes to touch it, a pale hand patting it softly.  “WOah”  

Saphira pressed the limb into his hand, happy for the attention and flattery.  “Thank you.  These are slightly smaller than they were when I was my true form, but I’m glad of them nonetheless.”

“well it was much different. men held most responsibilities, while most women stayed home. people were prejudice about each other because of the color of their skill. there weren’t technologies like this.”

“Huh.  It sounds like an interesting world, though a primitive one.  You must like this one much more.”

“that really sucks. i have no idea how i would feel if i could no longer turn back into a mermaid.”

“You’re a mermaid? And you can switch back?  I’m very jealous.”
