I Am Alive...

      His arms would bring her into an embrace so soft,   it tickled. Even when she bent to his level, his height   gave no match to hers. His head buries into the nape   of her neck, inhaling the scent of sea water. It’s salty   fragrance itched the bridge of his nose, the young   Seraph felt a sense of home in her words. She was   tired, it ached in the back of her throat when she spoke.

           ❝Rest… You can rest now.❞

     ‘ You who grew in a world that could never understand those eyes of curiosity.

Born of a blank slate, adopting words and mannerisms of what you saw around you. You tried to reach for it only to be met with resistance and disdain. A hand reached, took yours and drew you to learn of the ‘ shadow ’ that your light met with.

Emotions and logic. Clashings, misunderstandings. You didn’t know.

                                          You only knew one thing.

                                              That you were alive.

                                   The rest was for you to decide upon.
