Okay so I’m a few days late for fanfic appreciation day but I should get this out of my system. I don’t comment nearly as much as I should, considering how much i love y’all’s fics. Fic adds so much to my daily life, every update brightens my mood so much, providing a welcome escape from stress or anxiety and prompting creativity. I like the fluffiest fluffy coffeeshop fics and the darkest, sickest, smuttiest angst. They all serve a purpose and each is a work of art, whether it’s a 500-word one shot or an epic multichapter novel.

That said here are a few of my favorite fanfic authors in no particular order:

@itsladykit - your fics have been a refuge for me ever since I first got into the UT fandom. From the first time I clicked on ‘broken bones’ to your latest updates. The writing is so fluid and easy to read somehow? The stories are so varied. But the main thing is the characters. They feel like family. The way you’ve described them and their struggles, the worlds you’ve created… The characterizations are so wonderful and the way they interact is addictive to watch. Your rus, edge, slim, red , cash and twist feel so alive the way you write them, and make me so fond of them? On my sad days I wish I could disappear into one of your fics. ‘Compound fracture’ ‘life cycles’ and ‘atypical’ are my current favorites but anything you write is a winner. If you never wrote another word I would continue to re-read your works forever, and fall in love all over again. I’m gonna stop now before it gets too embarrassing.

@alicedragons - just such superb writing and stories, I always jolt when one of your stories updates (lately ‘what’s in a name) and ‘argent night’ was what bloomed my love for spicyhoney. I didn’t click on it for a long time because I thought Edge would be the vampire (lol) but it ended up being this dark, complex, romantic, action packed and emotional epic. Definitely a favorite! Great characterizations and worldbuilding, dark and varied subjects, captivating stories!

@keelywolfe - simply incredible writing. I think anyone in the UT fandom (or anyone for that matter) can see the heart, skill and love that goes into these works. BAON has become such a massive, multilayered story that is always a  treat to read. The relationship between stretch and edge is heartbreakingly beautiful and it’s so touching to read about their lives. It’s not always mushy and perfect between them, sometimes it’s troubling and difficult in a very realistic way (which is a feather in your cap in itself) but their steadfast love for each other is always unshakeable and keeps me hooked. Also the village AU, star wars AU, etc. I don’t understand how you can seamlessly shift between tones? Like the village AU seems almost ethereal while BAON seems more grounded? I don’t know how to describe it but it’s impressive.

@askellie - Delicious, heartbreaking and satisfying stories that hit all my kinks. Your writing seems effortless, the stories are dark, haunting, emotional suckerpunches. Such a treat to read, I’ve been a fan for a long time!

Also @ollie-oxen-free , @sansy-fresh , @angelia-dark y’all have amazing stories and writing too I have thoroughly enjoyed.

I’m going to finish the funded fics/comissions, and I’m not deleting anything. All of my previous accounts will still be available as archives. Nothing is getting deleted, but I won’t be posting here anymore.

Hey guys, so @freshouttaparsnips and I had this idea for a community project. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a set of stories based around a common premise and written by different authors? Like an anthology! Think “Sin City”, “Babel”, “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”, or the “V/H/S” series. They do not have to be related to one another, however, like the stories in some of these movies. You do not have to coordinate with anyone. All you have to do is follow a few simple rules and let your creativity run wild. 

The common theme among these stories is sickness/injury. It can be literal or metaphorical. You have your choice of genre, characters, pairing (if you choose to include a romantic pairing), and the like. A second common theme is the titles. I ask that you name your oneshot with the title of a nursery rhyme. It doesn’t necessarily have to do with that nursery rhyme in a logical sense, but for example, a person could call their story Three Blind Mice and write about a character temporarily losing their sight via illness or injury. 

Here are the rules I would ask that you follow: 

1. Please keep your story rated at a T or below. If you’re confused about what might be allowed, consider if your content would be able to be shown in a PG-13 movie. This means no graphic sex or violence. Keep it minimal or keep it offscreen.

2. You can be as wide or as narrow as you wish to be in your interpretation of the subject. All I ask is that, in one way or another, your story has something to do with an illness or injury.

3. Your title must be a nursery rhyme title. It does not have to be in English. For English titles, however, I can recommend this site (www.nurseryrhymes.org) for name suggestions.

4. You have complete control over characters, pairings, genre, etc. As you might expect, however, please keep it Undertale related. If you would like to use your OC’s, that’s wonderful, but please also include at least one recognizable character from the game or one of the many AUs. 

5. Please keep your story to a oneshot with at least 500 words and up to 5,000 words. 

6. Post your story to your AO3 and add to the collection “Nursery Rhyme Community Project”. Myself and Freshie will be moderating! If you don’t have an AO3, that’s okay! You can post here to Tumblr! Please tag your story with “AWOO Nursery Rhyme Project” so I can find it. You can also send me a link to your story through Tumblr’s chat function.

I go the idea yesterday to make fandom-based ad-libbed stories and read a few aloud.  Yes, I will be finishing my current podfic list soon, but I wanted to do one of these to jazz things up!

So alright, I need you all to throw a bunch of words at me!  You can do as many as you want, and I’ll pick from among several of them.  I NEED THESE BY MONDAY, MAY 11.

I’ll be doing an Undertale/Undertale AU one first, and we’ll see how that goes.

I always have writing commissions open, ya’ll know that, but here’s a small announcement/reminder! 

I am taking writing and art commissions directly through my kofi, through the Commissions tabs. If you’d rather do it like that than by just directly giving kofi, go for it ^^ I won’t be doing art commissions any other way.

But with writing commissions, all of my options are listed above, with only a few specific ones on kofi. If you would rather just give kofi directly and message what you’d like, that’s completely fine as well!
