YEEEES YOU GET ME!

I'm about to pop off, and hopefully it's not too disjointed before we loop back around to Luffy being a good bottom:

Luffy is the type of character who gives EVERYTHING to others even when claiming to be selfish. Sure, there are some things he definitely "selfish" with, like food, but literally all of those have trauma related causes! He grew up having to hunt for his food or he didn't eat. He's selfish with his people and not wanting to share them because of his canonical hatred of being alone and the fact he had to fight for the relationships he does have.

But the thing with the second one is that even if it's him being a selfish pirate in his mind, his "selfishness" actually leads to giving everything to them to keep them. Almost every relationship he's in is one sided until he does something to convince them that he's worth staying for, and often times that means giving them freedom in some form. (Nami's freedom from Arlong, Zoro's freedom from the marines, Sanji's freedom from his perceived debt to Zeff and later all of WCI, ect. (I could get really fucking into this and I might later))

He loves anyone he considers to be one of his people, and the way that he loves is to give every single thing he can to bring them as much joy as they bring him! So yeah, he gives EVERYTHING to those he loves.

I read a post ages ago about Luffy's perception of love and how that affects him, and I feel that's also relevant here. (Link)

Anyways, despite his claim of wanting to be selfish, he gives EVERYTHING to those he cares about, and in return they take care of him in some way (Nami navigates for him, Sanji cooks for him, ect). And he loves this about them! He takes every chance he can canonically to talk about how much he appreciates everything they do for him because he can't do those things. Which I think can be tied to the fact that Luffy's a little love bug, but also to the fact that his childhood fucking sucked. He had to fight for even the smallest amount of affection until he wore them down to give it freely. His crew didn't require anywhere near as much wearing down as Ace. He had that shit down to a science after Ace!

Which loops us back around to the relationship point. He would *adore* anyone who decided to love him as fiercely as he loves, and to care for him gently when most of what he's known is violence? Perfection. He may not understand it fully at first, but dear fuck he deserves someone to care for him. To crack him open with gentle hands and hold his heart carefully while he falls apart.

Luffy being fucked stupid while being held gently, as if he's someone's world? Luffy being told that yes, he can take a couple more orgasms, more pleasure because he's strong (in contrast to him being able to take hits against an enemy, because a lover should not be his enemy)? Luffy being put so far into subspace that he has no choice but to let his lover care for him? Fucking perfection.
