I can't tell if I'm going through olive oil way faster than I used to or if the days are just slipping away from me
Man...Life of Pi is such a criminally underrated movie. Nobody talks about it these days. But it's not only just, beautifully shot, but also rich with symbolism. The meaning of the story can easily go over your head the first few watches. Connecting the dots is a task for sure. But a rewarding task. The eeriness of the island, the transformation of the relationship between Pi and Richard Parker, and the subsequent disappearance of the tiger upon Pi's rescue. It's pure, beautiful allegory, and for something that would be much much too dark to actually depict plainly, and in which a plain depiction might misconstrue the true emotional and mental state Pi was experiencing during the time and how he processes it after the fact. It's the kind of movie that was made to be rewatched, and pondered, and soaked in. It's a story of humanity, of coexisting with your own survival instincts while trying desperately to maintain what makes you yourself.
So seriously. Just go watch it. And then watch it again. As many times as it takes to understand why there was a tooth in the lotus flower fruit and why the island gave during the day and took at night and why there were meerkats all over it, why the tiger never kills Pi, why he disappears at the end, and why Pi needed to tell the story that way in the first place.
ferrari bottling the first race will create a satisfying underdog winner story and create an exciting trajectory and that's why we are the best team in the sport actually

Also very big! Takes up two stories!
“No matter what happens, no matter how far you seem to be away from where you want to be, never stop believing that you will somehow make it. Have an unrelenting belief that things will work out, that the long road has a purpose, that the things that you desire may not happen today, but they will happen. Continue to persist and persevere.”
