The sound of the stranger's name sent cold shivers down Grell's spine, though this didn't show on her face as she politely took the man's offered hand-- Giving it a slight shake in greeting.
"I'm sure it is~" She teased lightly, taking back her hand a moment later. There were goosebumps raising on her arms now, apparently even just touching him had made her angrier than she would have originally anticipated.
The reason for the goosebumps that rose on her arms was simply because this man-- This human-- had been a royal pain in the Dispatch Society's ass since the first day they received his file stating his time of death, and the cause of it. Countless hours had been spent trying to track him down so that he could be reaped, yet to no avail considering the bastard was seemingly impossible to find for several months leading up to Grell's sudden arrival to Hive City.
She didn't even have to close her eyes to remember the haggard look on her fellow officer's faces after they returned empty handed from countless field assignments. The problem with them finding them was that he never seemed to be in place his file recorded him to be in-- Not only that, but the cause of death changed every day as well. It was rare for someone's file to do such a thing, practically unheard of. But if Grell hadn't been given the man's file herself a few weeks before her sudden spiriting away-- No pun necessarily intended-- she wouldn't have believed it either.
Yet, her she was; Face-to-face with the man that had caused the Dispatch Society such hardship, including countless hours of unpaid overtime for her fellow Shinigami and just about as many hours of paperwork.
This asshole, right in front of her, was the cause of it.
She had almost forgotten that she was carrying the folder containing his file with her until she had happened across him. Perhaps fate had a bit of a sense of humor, after all. None the less, the folder now felt about ten times as heavy as it had once been-- The folder itself having been tucked into her jacket pocket since she arrived, and hadn't since been touched afterwards.
She was angry, to say the least, that this human was the cause of so much frustration and stress for even her beloved William.
Grell had half a mind to try and snap his neck right that very instant, but knew that nothing good would come from her showing her hand at such an early stage. She needed to take a moment to privately look over the file, if anything-- Though there was the slight problem.
That problem being, of course, that she didn't have her Death Scythe, therefore would be unable to view and judge the man's Cinematic Record, and ultimately reap the louse's soul. Not only that, but she also was far from full power. Though if the man was simply human, and nothing outrageously special she may be able to take him on with what strength she still retained. She also thought, that perhaps if she were to be able to kill him, that another Shinigami might ultimately show up and do the work for her. But a part of her severely doubted this, given the fact that apparently the reason that they hadn't ever been able to locate him was because he was here-- In Hive City.
Was this place masked, somehow? Beyond even the reach of Shinigami or any other's that might think to interfere?
As it were, Grell held her tongue for the time being-- Despite wishing that she could tear out this man's throat with her teeth and be done with it. But she couldn't, not just yet. Despite his smile, he seemed to be on gaurd still. Grell needed him to relax in her company a bit, it seemed.
Throughout this process of thought, she kept her face calm and pleasant; Regarding the other with a slight smile. She was an actress, after all; If she couldn't even keep her cool in this kind of situation, then what right did she have to be on stage?
Grell reviewed what the man had said in her mind, giving a short hum as she tilted her head in a show of curiosity. "Sindria? I don't believe I've heard of such a place, is it nice there? And dear me, to have been here for an extended amount of time-- Aren't you homesick?"
