I think I sort of understand why people make tumblr dni lists now. I come from the reddit world where everyone is more anonymous and the site scale is much bigger. So you can silo off into whatever forums.
Tumblr tags are much less cordoned off. You can see anyone who posts to one. And there's not too much moderation either. So you'll end up interacting with people you don't want to.
Personally, I'd rather not interact with children on tumblr. But I'm also against the DNI list because I like being open and talking about myself, and hard lines like that are a lot for me. Maybe a "beware" list or a "content advisory" makes more sense. Maybe just avoiding kids on my end and then that's all. Idk
