This year weâll  be hosting our own monthly Artist Spotlight, where we ask our favourite artists to make something limited for the club.
Our first artist had to be our good pal and long time ghostie, Neil Slorance! Neil made this comic for us and itâs available now as an A4 print! We think itâs pretty darn beautiful.
We got Neil to answer a bunch of questions for us, and you can read them (and more about him!) here
Thanks @neilslorance, we love it so so much <3
Marvel artists turned Black Influencers and Athletes into super versions of themselves.
This is so amazing!
Watch: The trailer for âHidden Figuresâ is here â and it looks incredible.
follow @the-movemnt
I am so excited for this, I got chills through the whole trailer!!!
On some real shit, I do not fuck with people who ride those boat things at the carnival. People who get on those do not give a fuck about life, they donât care about you, ya mama or your kids. They literally have nothing to lose. You donât care about life so thereâs no need for me to fight you because youâre not going to give a damn about my face.Â
THIS JOINT!!!!
BITCHHHHHHH. I got on this shit when I was 12. Wasnât no bar, no protection, nothing in that shit. I didnât realize until it was too late. You couldnât pay me to ever get on this shit ever again in my life. We were in Landover, this shit almost smooth flipped my ass to Baltimore. No. Never again.Â
12? I got on this bitch when I was 21 and had my head in my exâs shoulder the ENTIRE time. Screaming like a bih too. Nope. Never again. I was praying to the gravity gods the entire time.
?????? All it does is swing back and forth???? I donât understand the concern??????
centrifugal force keeps you in your seat.
Centrifugal force isnât keeping me from crying tho
Fuck this ridr your stomach is in your throat and shit is in your pants.
Lmaooooo
*winces* This is the only kind of carnival ride I enjoy. I am a monster.

Immigrants embroider their stories on incredible cacti sculptures, made from decommissioned border-control uniformsÂ
Margarita Cabrera calls her growing field of soft cactus sculptures âSpace in BetweenâSaguaro,â a reference to the term in the Aztec language for in-betweenness. That space is the border.Â
Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and now living in El Paso, Texas, Cabrera worked with immigrants in both countries to transform decommissioned uniforms into canvases for personal expression in the form of cactus species like nopal, saguaro, and agave. On the green fabric, the women embroidered their stories and their observations from life, national symbols, and personal objects.Â
The works, made in collaboration with Maria Lopez, are part of the Biennial exhibition at SITE Santa Fe, âMuch Wider Than a Line.âÂ
The piece is open-ended: currently, members of the local community are working with the Santa Fe Art Institute to create their own cacti. The new sculptures will be added to the show as participants complete them.Â
In England and the United States, the police were invented within the space of just a few decadesâroughly from 1825 to 1855. The new institution was not a response to an increase in crime, and it really didnât lead to new methods for dealing with crime. The most common way for authorities to solve a crime, before and since the invention of police, has been for someone to tell them who did it. Besides, crime has to do with the acts of individuals, and the ruling elites who invented the police were responding to challenges posed by collective action. To put it in a nutshell: The authorities created the police in response to large, defiant crowds. Thatâs â strikes in England, â riots in the Northern US, â and the threat of slave insurrections in the South. So the police are a response to crowds, not to crime.

This reminds me a lot of The Secret Knots.
oh man, this gave me chills!
Famous Poems Rewritten as Limericks
The Raven
There once was a girl named Lenore And a bird and a bust and a door And a guy with depression And a whole lot of questions And the bird always says âNevermore.â
Footprints in the Sand There was a man who, at low tide Would walk with the Lord by his side Jesus said âNow look back; Youâll see one set of tracks. Thatâs when you got a piggy-back ride.â
Response to âThis Is Just To Sayâ This note on the fridge is to say That those ripe plums that you put away Well, I ate them last night They tasted all right Plus I slept with your sister. Mâkay?
Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening There once was a horse-riding chap Who took a trip in a cold snap He stopped in the snow But he soon had to go: He was miles away from a nap.
Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night There was an old father of Dylan Who was seriously, mortally illinâ âI want,â Dylan said âYou to bitch till youâre dead. âIâll be pissed if you kick it while chillinâ.â
I Wandered Lonely As a Cloud There once was a poet named Will Who tramped his way over a hill And was speechless for hours Over some stupid flowers This was years before TV, but still.
THE ONE FOR DO NOT GO GENTLE IM CRYING
A chap from a faraway land Said two big stone legs (topless) stand An inscription fine Reads âthis shitâs all mineâ But all thereâs to see is the sand.
OMFG,
The Second Coming
The falcon flies wider in scorn All things fall apart, or are torn And now, what rough beast Will arise in the East And slouch Bethlehemward to be born?
Edgar Allen Poe, âThe Ravenâ: Enthroned on the bust by the door, The raven exclaims âNevermore!â Itâs rather annoying, For I was enjoying My mourning for dear lost Lenore. Edgar Allen Poe, âThe Bellsâ: Bells are quite noisy, itâs true, And each has a quite distinct hue, From silver and gold Different stories are told, Foretelling both glory and rue. W. H. Auden, âFuneral Bluesâ: Shut off the clocks and the phone, And let no dog bark with his bone: Let the planes overhead Only say âhe is deadâ⌠Now Iâm sorry, thereâs nobody home. T. S. Eliot, âThe Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrockâ: A man can walk down on the beach Roll his pants up and munch on a peach; He isnât deluded And wonât be included By mermaids that sing each to each. T.S. Eliot, âThe Wastelandâ: You called me the hyacinth girl When you gave sweet Shakespeare a whirl; The cityâs unreal, And the dead men donât feel, So letâs let the storm warnings twirl. Lewis Carroll, âThe Jabberwockâ: âTwas mimsy out there by the wabe And all of the momewraths out grabe. The Jabberwockâs dead (Some kid took off its head, And his father said âYouâre my best babe!â). Beowulf: Terribly troubled, the Thane Demanded defense from a Dane For fierce in the fen Mighty monsters maimed men Great Grendal gave plenty of pain. William Butler Yeats, âStolen Childâ: Come on, human kid, and letâs go, Thereâs so much to see and to show. Run off with the fae, Hurry fast, skip away, And youâll never a mortal life know! John Keats, âLa Belle Dame Sans Merci": The sedge is all dry; spring has sped, And the birds that once sang have all fled. The merciless dame Goes on making her claim To young hunks who keep winding up dead. Lord Tennyson, âThe Princessâ: The echoes keep fading away With the splendor that ebbs with the day, But the castle is grand In this bright fairyland, And thereâs not that much else I can say. Christina Rossetti, âGoblin Marketâ: At goblin men we mustnât stare, And we shouldnât go to their Fair. Their fruit may seem tasty, But we canât be hasty, And donât let them play with your hair!
Oh my god, the Beowulf one. Â Oh.
Both kittens on my lap! This was a triumph!
