Ludo hummed in response, pleased that he at least knew his boundaries. But then his smile faded and she shook her head gently. “First of all, there is nothing wrong with a Dominant showing weakness and a Submissive showing strength. Remember that.” The blonde started with a soft, yet stern voice. “Besides that, you had your hands full with me. You’re strong and you’re brave, Sandro, but you’re not Superman. You did what you could, and so did she. Try not to read into it so much.” She paused, making sure she had his gaze before saying, “She’s lucky she has a Dominant like you.”

Arden nodded, taking Sandro’s word. He, personally, didn’t have a desire to meet many Montagues, but he supposed their submissives were harmless enough. “Well, here’s to hope then,” he toasted, raising his glass. “I think we could all use a bit of hope after the last few weeks.”

“Good coz have no intention of being a functional human being tomorrow,” Rosaline replied with a laugh and a mischievous smirk.  She leaned into the kiss smiling brightly and then made quick work of the wrapped.  “Ooo these are awesome, thank you!  You combined two of my favourite things, coffee and Star Wars.”  She giggled cutely.  “I think Miss Tru will appreciate these too… she says our current Porg ones keep looking at her funny and she doesn’t like it.”

“Will this ‘Hobbles’ nonsense stick?” Ludo asked exasperatedly, though in fairness, she did find it rather endearing. The only nickname she’d ever allowed was, well, Ludo. “I do too. I dream about what would have happened if you hadn’t been there. Or if Ariella hadn’t come to help us.” She shook her head carefully, moving to take a seat on her couch; ankle aching from standing so long. “I’m alright, thank you. It could have been much worse, but it wasn’t.”

Daria smiled politely at his joke, the conversation making her wonder if it would be considered totally appropriate.  “My Dominant was transferred back at quite short notice so he has had to go straight into work more or less and now I am reacquainting myself with the city.  Have you always lived in Verona?”

“She is, sir. Elle’s just over there, talking to someone I don’t recognize with the mask on.” Mateo pointed toward his domme, unable to help but smile as her dress glinted under the lights of the party. She was dressed to make heads turn and he’d certainly been distracted by her all night. 

“Ariella - hmm, I’ll admit, I don’t know an Ariella Montague. Then again, I don’t know too many members of the family as whole. Though I’ll assume at the very least, she’s pretty,” Arden replied, giving Sandro a small smirk. “Yes - We hope to have the ceremony by the end of the year. We’re ready for the rest of our lives. How about you and this Ariella? Something serious or merely a date for the party?”

“I, unfortunately, don’t have that luxury. With transportation and logistics, there’s no time to relax. Everything and everyone has a deadline,” Arden replied. He’d been casually nursing his single drink to get him through the night - a hangover wasn’t an option. “Well, I’m glad you’re comfortable.” Though, admittedly, Arden felt the other dom was a bit underdressed for the event. Still, he was a noble dom from a prominent family and head over a very large bank. Sandro could’ve shown up in rags and Arden would’ve said nothing. “Did you bring a date for the night?”

Mateo eased up as soon as he recognized Sandro and realized it was an honest mistake. “No, sir, it’s no problem. It ain’t usually this strict… it’s just, with the riots, and so many people in one place…. just better safe then sorry.” It was mostly truth. Sure, the Romanos tended to be strict, but he’d also been tasked to ensure everything went smoothly.

“A birthday surprise for me?  It’s not one I have to be sober to get is it?  Coz if it is it might have to wait a little while!”
