okay, now that personal issues have been dealt with, and halloween is done. i can try to get back into business. usually i can only keep focus on one blog/muse when shit gets hectic irl. i apologize for that. 

“I would say that it’s in our nature to try to stray. Your job would be much easier if we didn’t, I suppose.”

He cups her face in warm, soft palms. Brushes back her hair.

Gold eyes, he thinks, like sunrise on the lake–

He kisses her reverentially, softly, his mouth yielding to hers.

Her skin is almost indescribable, white hot but not causing pain to the touch. It looks fragile, as if it could crack with even the slightest pressure. But, it doesn’t falter in his hands.

Those eyes disappear behind lids when she’s pulled close. As soon as lips come into contact, there’s probably a floating sensation. Any sort of negative feeling or sensation, gone. 

“Oh, believe me. I have seen it. But, and correct me if I’m wrong, God loves us all as we are, doesn’t She?”

“Hm,” He agreed with a sideways glance. “Some in a more literal sense than others?”

“The image it projects.” He searched for an explanation. “It makes me sound so manipulative.”

In hand-drawn sketches and the codices of old he’s seen her true form. Now he gazes long and hard at the woman in red, trying to catch a glimpse of the thing beneath.

“May I kiss you, ma’am?”

The hunger in it’s more than lust. It’s the hunger to know.

    Solid GOLD eyes lift up to his face at his question; while surprised, it wasn’t an uncommon request. There have been some before him that were curious. Perhaps the sensation of divine lips was too tantalizing for them--- Perhaps they had other intentions. 

But, not many were granted such privilege. 

“I try.”

And he does. He’s one hell of an actor–obsequious one minute, sly and forward the next.

Something of his fading looks shows through with his glittering smile.

“It’s really the least I can do.”

“I was brought up to respect divinity, ma’am.”

More or less.

“Besides. Being a gentleman to things that could kill me is only common sense.”

He kisses her hand again, more brashly, his lips parting just enough.

“I suppose you could look at it that way. I would prefer not to use the term ‘twisted’, though.”
