That after a lot of talk with the Berry men that Iāll be returning to Ame Cerise on a biweekly basis as the performer a few times a week. Theyāve worked out a great deal with my record company and Iāll even have a little merch table set up every day where youāre all more than welcome to scan the silly things Iāve come up with. My first gig back is next Wednesday so I hope to see some of you there!
Well Iāll keep putting bugs in their ear, or however that expression goes. One of us will break them eventually.
Anyway, thereās something I wanna run by you. Itās not the burlesque thing again, though I do wanna keep that on the table. I just need to get other things sorted first. My mom seems to think I might need to start talking to someone besides her. Like a licensed someone. She thinks I might have some sort of suppression problem, or depression, I donāt know. Basically, she and my dad think Iām crazy.

Even if you were opening that would still be exciting! And certainly a way to reach the fanbase of other, similar artists that wouldnāt necessarily take a risk on someone they didnāt recognize.Ā
I mentioned it to my dads and they would like to talk to you more privately ā I shouldnāt actually be the go-between for the remainder of this discussion, both personally but also more to the point, legally. I do hope that you find something, whether itās with them or via some other avenue.
Because as much as I do understand that they want a full album from you, and donāt necessarily want to take a risk, that doesnāt help youĀ at all.Ā I know exactly how frustrating it is not being able to perform when thatās what you really want to be doing, or feeling like your creative energy just doesnāt have the outlet that it needs.Ā
Me being considered for anything is already exciting, though I know itās up to me and marketing myself right for any of that to ever happen.
I understand, I didnāt really think about that entirely, I appreciate you speaking with them in general, I am considering Blaineās offer most heavily, though, I think, money wise for Santana and I since I would be getting a job on top of a gig.
Thatās where Iām stuck right now, I donāt have an audience to try songs out to, or the opportunity to be around as many artists as I was when I was going around to open mics and other venues, so itās stifling. Iāve a writers block of sorts going on because of it, which sucks when everyoneās telling me I need to be writing.

True. The sooner I have an album, the sooner Iām on stage. I sing and play, mostly piano.
Youāre not asking me, Iām offering. Iāve applied for a full time position at the Goodman Theatre once my internship is up at the end of the semester. And Iām pretty sure Iām getting hired. Youād take over a managerial position at the club and headline and make your own schedule. Of course if you didnāt want to be a manager I could put someone else in that position, but Iām going to be stepping down regardless.
Itās only a suggestion, though. If youād like to mull it over, by all means. Iām going to be looking for someone to take over for me by end of the year. If you want it, itās yours.
