Title: A Pair of Reds (One Piece fanfic)

Other: moving on from grief

(I definitely couldn't fit all siblings in the poll, and some siblings can be further divided, so feel free to take this how you will. Also my brain is so fried right now I wonder if I even make sense xD)

*I have opinions on each of the Vinsmoke brothers, and of Reiju (I think she's the best of them, but she also has her flaws)

Now I'm at Fish-Man Island arc, and what can I say... I'm reminded again why Zoro is my favourite between Sanji and him, specifically in the manga (Sanji is great btw, but Zoro just has different flaws that I relate to more).

Though can I really call his actions in this chapter a flaw? 😅😅 He totally just ran with it, even though the situation they got into was in self defence for the Strawhats (iykyk).

While I don't know if we'll see it in live action, it would be hilarious if we saw a scene like this xD

P.s. I will never forgive Viz for using Zolo instead of Zoro - I get why, but yeah no.

You know on a side extra note, it's kinda even funnier that while King Neptune is getting Zoro's name wrong alongside Viz using "Zolo" xD

Okay maybe it's only funny in my head....🫠

I can see what went wrong in this drawing and if I had the time and energy, I would draw it again sometime in the future and see how much my art has developed since I decided to start drawing again, BUT I still love it and it blows my mind that I even managed to complete it (seeing as my initial sketch is the horror of horrors for the ugly stage 🤣🤣🤣). I was and am still happy I was able to draw this when something like this was so difficult and disheartening for me before I went on a drawing-break.

Hehe, still, to this day, the highlight of this drawing for me was the fact that I put "Corazon" on the band of his underwear and the backstory that I joked about with my muse was that Doffy gave his Executives underwear with their titles on it for Christmas (or something like that, we joked about it a couple years ago now, so my memory is vague xD).

Anyway, because this is supposed to be a piece fanart/art for my fic involving a Reader character, the girl you see is only my interpretation of the Reader character. The "Grey Bald" version near the end is just the placeholder for the Reader character 😅😅. After all this time, this is still one of those times where I didn't like the grey version (she looks like an android...)

*A/n: I wrote this post before something happened on Monday (yesterday), and now I post it as a means to distract myself from things.

On a side note, I can't wait for a similar scene in OPLA -- of Luffy and Koby meeting again after East Blue! Even though OPLA pushed forward the Garp sub plot (which I did like, for reasons), I hope we do get a reunion some like this from the manga in the live action. Because at this point, Koby has grown and changed and I just love his friendship with Luffy!! (We probably won't get this scene, even though it's great in the manga, but I am sure I'll be happy with however the live action does it, if we get that far!!! (Fingers crossed and hope for the best).

Also, with Aidan Scott as Helmeppo in the live action, I kinda look forward to seeing his version of this new and improved Helmeppo from the manga!

Anyway, I'm in Water 7 now, but yesterday I was rereading the Long Ring Island arc, and yep, if we ever get this far in the live action, I can't wait for Zoro being a Dad to Chopper T>T. Zoro really is my favourite in the manga, between Zoro and Sanji (I love this guy too, but Zoro is on a whole different level). Actually what am I saying... we will probably get a glimpse of Dad Zoro in Alabasta.

I love both, in manga and in OPLA, but in manga, Zoro is my favourite between the two, he's so loyal I love it. I also really like Mackenyu's Zoro, and I have no problems with his season 1 portrayal.

I do love Sanji in the manga, he's cool, sweet, and has epic character moments all through. But OPLA Sanji is so damn adorable. Taz Skylar does him so well.

So, what do you think?

(Also, the more I write this post the more rambly I feel okay it's Saturday morning, a non-work day, and I'm soooo not awake yet. And it occurs to me that someone else might have done this poll before butttttttttt doesn't matter.)

To be fair, I've avoided using half naked versions of these two (you know those scenes in S2! S1!) out of concern that it might be too distracting and y'all might forget to vote.

Oh wait and a clip! I really want Zoro's hat. I say this as a person who would just collect it and not wear hats because my hair will go as flat as when people thought Earth was flat. I still want the hat though xD (Just as much as I want and now kind of have a version of Robin's hat from the Dressrosa Arc.)

My Italian is so bad/so so so rusty so I can't comment on the translation, but I do love that we have an opera version of My Sails are Set!

Also, I love listening to how Sonya Belousova talks about making music (just as much as I love listening to the costume designer (the proper name is escaping my tired brain atm) talk about they created the costumes, which I find absolutely fascinating) because there are so many details. I'm sure there are other composers (etc, yes, I'm not an expert) but she and Giona Ostinelli do the soundtrack for OPLA, which I love, so it makes sense that I want to hear what they about how they made the music for it xD.

It's probably not fair to compare to the Cleaning Lady (which I haven't watched and don't intend to), but I'm gonna anyway since it's the only one with the closest runtime. Similar runtime, similar hours viewed. Difference in weeks in top 10 (significant), difference in number of season (OPLA is S2, and usually second seasons will drop in viewership for whatever reasons, while TCL is S1). Again, not a fair comparison at all and no basis, but I just revel in this as a positive sign for OPLA S2.

I would also like to think Raw is... wrestling, right? Not something I care to be interested in, and though it is popular, it's still only for those who like it?

I'm not sure OPLA S2 will be in top 10 next week, and even if I hope for it, I think it's done well this year! (Again... I would need to actually compare for proper stats, but hell, I'm an optimist, so we're going the optimistic route.)

Anyway ...I should probably stop and actually do what I need to do now.... (I'm sorry you stopped and read my pointless post 😅😅😅)

Edit: Also, on reflecting that Miss Goldenweek was 16 in the manga, and Sophia Anne Caruso herself looks young, that darkens her live action portrayal even more. The age gap in my mind between manga and live action even smaller ... 😅😅
