Ball is life

Sam’s party had gone extremely well according to Reign, though she didn’t really remember the last part of it. It was all a blur, she was drinking to feel comfortable around Lorena, trying to have a good time, but also trying to avoid any conversation about any of the confrontations she had faced recently, but there were few people who let it go unspoken. She genuinely just wanted to let go and have fun, which is how she found herself in this predicament. Drunk and talking to Sam outside, while she tried to convince him that she was totally fine to go out to a club. 

“Sam, stop being so… boring,” she pouted, wobbling in her heels, as she poked him in the chest. “I’m fine,” she threw her arms outwards, overbalancing and falling to the ground in the process, giggling as she did. She would feel the effects of that tomorrow morning, but for now she was numb to it. “That wasn’t my fault, that was the… the… what’sthisagain… sidewalks fault…” she told him as she looked up at him with soft eyes and a pout, knowing that she’d probably just fall over if she tried to get up alone, totally unaware to some men with cameras quickly approaching.

“I’m not being boring, you’re just very drunk ” He sighed, running a hand through his hair. Sam put his hands out to catch her but he was too late and she was already sitting on the floor. He winced, that would surely hurt come morning, but she didn’t seem affected by it at all. Which further proved his theory that she was several drinks past being tipsy. He laughed when she blamed the sidewalk for her falling down, shaking his head in amusement. She looked adorable right now. Just as that thought entered his brain he was taken aback by it but before he could think about it too much he saw camera men coming, holding out his hands to her, bending down so he could help her stand up. “Come on, let me help you up. Our Uber’s gonna be here in a minute.” While he wasn’t as drunk as Reign, he’d also had several drinks which meant that he didn’t want to drive. Knowing this in advance he had come here with an uber as well, leaving his car at home. 

In all honesty, Reign could totally believe that Sam didn’t want to buy a new outfit for his party, him and Lorena were different in that way, Sam didn’t particular care for the whole fashion aspect of his stardom, luckily he had Reign and Lorena to save the day. Reign was glad for the distraction, but she wouldn’t reveal that to Sam, she didn’t want him coming up with another way to distract her that didn’t involve buying him new clothes. This way they were killing two birds with one stone. 

The woman didn’t leave him waiting for too long, this was all part of a new attitude she had towards life, a new and improved Reign that wasn’t tardy. She opened the car door, hoping in with a smile. “No hi Reign, how are you? Thank you for helping me with the disaster that is my fashion sense. God Sam, how rude,” she joked with a small grin, holding her bag on her lap, not wanting it to touch the floor. She didn’t know who’s dirty feet had touched that floor. “As for preference, let’s start with driving and I’ll tell you when to stop, yeah?”

The fact that his sister and Reign still hadn’t made up surprised him. The two of them were two peas in a pod usually, always ganging up on him. After his break up last year he had been in a really bad place and they played a big part in getting him out of that hole he found himself in so he was thankful for that. He could tell that the distance had taken a toll on both women so he was doing his best in scheming to get them to be friends again. The schemers were always the two of them and not him so while he wasn’t as efficient as they would’ve been if the situation was reversed, but he was trying.

The terrace had been reserved for the birthday party and Theodore was pleased with how everything had come together. He wasn’t the planner and organized person but over the course of the last couple of weeks, he had been happy to help in whatever way. It was the third time he was at this location and he tried to be at his other locations as much as he could, but it had easily slipped his mind to incorporate Los Angeles into his schedule. The other ones were considerably closer than an American place. There were a few other things that kept him tied down to London that being Seren as well as his other projects. 

It was the evening and there were lights set up as well as fires around other booths to help keep guests warm and provide necessary lighting. Already the cocktails and some foods have come out and served and Theodore was making a few rounds to greet the guests as he was going back and forth between the kitchens and the terrace. Downstairs had already closed which made orders easier for the select guests upstairs. Theodore found the man in question and gave a warm smile, “I guess I should offer congratulations and a happy birthday though I’m sure you’ve heard that from everyone here,” Theodore said. “So how is it? Everything nice and well?”

“There are a quite a few people here that I don’t know, but I think Lor’s had a hand in this since she was in charge of the guest list.” His teammates and all of his friends were there and that’s what he cared about. There were quite a few models here that he didn’t know the name off but he guessed they were friends of his sister since he didn’t know them. A few of them did come and congratulate him and introduce themselves. “Everything’s great man. Thank you for putting all of this together.” He grinned, motioning over the party. He was a fan of a good party just like his sister was, so he really did appreciate the effort that was put into this, it was clear that the food and drink choices were well thought out and he spotted the cake him and Reign had chosen a couple of days ago as well.
