in honor of my recent birthday, hitting seventeen million, along with the second year anniversary of this blog coming up - i will be holding my first ever collab event! dedicated to studio ghibli movies x svt! this collaboration event will have a total of 28 official slots. this event welcomes any svt content creator (fics/gifs/edits/etc.) who wishes to join!

a/n: i’ve recently been watching ghibli movies again and it got me thinking - how about creating something which was inspired by my two favorite things! so, i’ve decided to assign each member a studio ghibli movie, which is the basis of this event!

some general things to keep in mind:

in order to apply to be a part of the collab series, please message me personally specifying which member you are interested in doing. the collab series is on a first come first serve basis!

the word count is a minimum of 1.5

there is only one spot available per creator, meaning you aren’t allowed to pick more than one

no exact deadline for this event as of right now

put any warnings in the beginning when posting

please use the #studiosvtcollab in the first five tags of your post

in the event that you aren’t able to take part of the general collab series yet you still wish to create content for the event - please feel free to do so! i’d still like for you to use the #studiosvt tag so that i am able to see your posts as well! as i said, any svt content creator is welcomed to join even if you aren’t able to fill a slot in time!

My phone buzzed, and I fished it out of my pocket. Natalie again, calling me this time.

I swiped to answer it and held the phone as close to the edge of my mask as I could manage. “Hello?”

Natalie skipped the usual greeting and jumped straight into, “What are we going to do about Midas?”

I hadn’t even considered our little guard dragon. He was primarily Natalie’s responsibility, since she had argued to keep him around. But I knew from Natalie’s tone that she was struggling to hold back a request.

“My apartment building doesn’t allow pets,” she continued apologetically.

I repressed a sigh. “They wouldn’t even give you an exception for the pandemic?”

“Not even for cute dragons, unfortunately.”

My brain was made of scrambled wires, and had I known myself half as well, maybe the fires I could quell, and those wires that brought on endless fire, and though far and wide I’d search, I’d never find someone with such mirth, a crown made with golden diamonds couldn’t rival their worth, and I’d never make a soul who’s worth their weight in gold

He looked stoic, so different than when he had come in that it grated your nerves. Next thing you knew, he was leaning into your ear, dragging his hands up to your elbows and squeezing the joint, leaving you breathless, “good girl.” he whispered, making you shudder.

What were you supposed to say? How were you supposed to explain the avalanche, the flurry of confusion and complexities that came with being his friend? If you could even call it that. You’ve always had an issue with vulnerability, walls built up so high for the sake of protecting every heart that you held near and dear to you. You couldn’t afford to falter, not for anyone’s sake, let alone your own.

“I’d like to not speak about my past, sir. Your claims are from before I joined the fire department.” She bitterly replied, “I was dealing with personal problems and I was also a teenager.” 

His lawyer cleared his throat, but was quick to respond, “Of course. My apologies for bringing it up. But I understand that even the things you have seen put a heavy strain on your mental health, considering those past matters?”

“For example, your relapses shortly after the 7.1 earthquake leading you to how long of a leave?” 

How much did Evan Buckley tell this guy? 

“A few weeks.” Rome spat, “Listen, Mickey-" 

"Mackey. Chase Mackey." 

"Whatever. I chose this job. I chose to deal with the mentally exhausting — excuse the language — shit we see on the field.” Rome was past upset and far from forgiving Buck. It became personal the moment he provided Mackey with information meant to be kept within those she trusted. It was far beyond getting his job back. 

Now he was being selfish. 

“There’s quite a difference between being advised to take a break due to mental health matters and being at risk of hemorrhaging at any given moment.”
