just came back from a work reunion party and like man. it really makes me realize how much I lucked out with my first team and first job ever because it was so fun and we were all just commiserating about how our current jobs and/or coworkers just weren't as interesting or competent as our time together was. and I usually am quite uncomfortable at these types of gatherings (definitely am at my current job) but I ended up staying and yapping away for the whole 3 hours!!!!

#I mean the fact that so many of us wanted to show up to a work reunion party in the first place says a lot#but as usual business mergers and acquisitions ruin everything#I found out they got acquired for a THIRD time. all roads just lead to epic apparently 😔#the only downer is I learned everyone had a huge falling out qith one of our coworkers who I used to respect a lot#turns out he had been double dipping at a rival company... and in general double dipped a lot#and was pointedly NOT invited to this gathering (was kinda wondering why he hadn't been on the list....)#he was a great dev ops engineer though 🤷♀️#0.txt
