Full Name: Suzanne Jennifer Parker.

Commonly goes by 'Suzy.'

Her middle name came from a relative that got into an accident back in 1985. Her father doesn't like to talk about it all that much.

She doesn't like to talk about her father much, either.

Marty only starts calling her 'Jennifer' when he's "out of it."

Birthday: May 23rd, 1990.

She's been carrying around the same plush rabbit since she was baby. It's always stuffed in her schoolbag (with care.)

Raised by a single father. She's acquainted with her biological mother though, it's not a huge secret or anything.

Her dad owns a car dealership on, like, the edge of town. When she was little she would have to tag along with him sometimes.

On October 26th 1998, while bored, she found herself wandering out and to a nearby lake.

Suzy's caught glimpses of Marty before on the playground, looking lonely and singled out, but here she sees him just tossing rocks into the lake.

She walks up to him and teaches him how to correctly skip stones. It's the first time they make a connection. They end up spending the rest of the day together after that.

When Suzy gets home to worried questions about where she's been, she simply replies with “I was making a friend.”

Suzy's smart, nerd-adjacent. She's great in class because she feels a need to be, but if she also feels the need to rebel, she'll take it.

Diagnosed OCD, possible autism too.

Interest in the arts. She likes music, yeah, but she's mostly into painting.

She's on the school mural committee. She can be found out in the hallway some days, painting a wall and deep in thought.

Likes to press flowers in her notebooks. She's also got a pencil biting habit, sometimes they'll break if she grips them a little too hard.

She loves browsing the interwebs. She loves her computer ‼️ #HerComputer

A bit of a basket case. She has other friends at school, yeah, but they're not as close to her as Marty.

Her friends will tell her how they've 'never met a girl who acted like [Marty] before,’ and Suzy just goes “haha, yeah…”

Became friends with Donaldson when she was thirteen. He seems to be another outlier because he's a grade above her and his crowd is, like, the polar opposite of Suzy. They get along pretty good, though.

Starts ‘dating’ him when she's going on fifteen. It's her first ‘real’ romantic relationship, but neither of them really take it that seriously (unlike what Marty seems thinks.)

Going forward, they're rather on & off.

Tried out for the cheer squad once, “just because.” She didn't make the cut.

She tries to help Marty avoid getting detention. 50% success rate, lowered if Donaldson is there. Ends up joining Marty in detention if failed.

In the fall of 2005, Suzy begins to notice her and Marty drifting apart. She doesn't like it; she fears it, but she doesn't really think there's a way to prevent it.

It's only natural, isn't it?

10/2/2005 + Beyond:

Actually, no, it's not. Forget about that.

While Suzy’s aware Marty is frequently absent, she's going to be concerned when he's missing for an entire day.

She's sticking to him throughout the next, trying to ask where he was or if anything happened. He keeps brushing it off.

Over the passing week, she makes note of Marty calling her ‘Jennifer.’ It was an accident, she's sure, but it gives Suzy a nudge that something really is up with him.

She's always disliked being referred to as her middle name, but would just bite her tongue and put up with it; she sure as hell isn't going to put up with it from Marty, though. He should know she has a problem with it.

They have their first argument. After years of changing plans, kissing at sleepovers, borrowing clothes that are never returned, Marty breaking figurines, going through her diary when it's unlocked, holding unreasonable grudges, differences clearer, and distances growing: This is when they start arguing.

She swears that she'll slap some sense into him, and she should, but she would never allow herself to. There's a way bigger part of her that just wants Marty to be honest with her, open up, tell her what's going on, if he's feeling okay, help it feel better if he's not; a part of Suzy that kinda just wants it to be like when they were kids by the lake again, but Marty doesn't budge.

Whatever. Suzy knows she's going to find out eventually, hell, maybe they both do. She's gotta find out eventually.

Lightweight: She's never smoked pot like Marty (& Donaldson,) but she starts swiping small things from the liquor cabinet. She's not an alcoholic or anything, she actually hates the taste. It just ends with her venting to her stuffed rabbit.

Putting less time into self-care and her appearance. Still attentive with school, though. Keeping her grades nice and steady.

Her boyfriend's mother gave her the number to a Shrink! Wow, how… nice!

Suzy starts looking out for a ‘Clayton Video’ job in 2006, to try patching things up (setting up a confrontation.)

They never seem to be hiring, though... Strange, guess she needs to find another way.

So, when she knows he's at work, Suzy sneaks in through Marty's window. She's so normal.

What does she find? The Mysterious Box of Tapes!

She only takes a couple and books it out of there. She later watches them after making sure her dad isn't home.

While Suzy may not get the entire picture, she seems to get that:

His voice perks up when a girl named ‘Jennifer’ is on camera, and she bears a weird resemblance to S- Oh, shit.

Either time travel exists, or these strangers were just really good with the special effects.

While she's sceptical about time travel, it’s all still confirmation that something is wrong. Suzy easily pieces together that Marty must’ve been struggling with separating her from ‘Jennifer Parker.’

She can't help but feel… betrayed. Betrayal blooming in her gut, and a concern growing stronger. It's almost sickness inducing.

It's all only made worse by the fact that when she pieces it together, she still needs to find out where it fits with the rest of the puzzle.

Begins rewatching the tapes she's got, volume on low if her dad is home.

She keeps stomping out the thought of doing more snooping, even if it does feel like the only way to dig deeper on her own.

She doesn't even know where to begin expressing this all to her psychiatrist. Suzy starts writing in an old diary again, finding it helpful. The lock is missing, but she doesn't care enough to replace it.

She's not scared of getting caught; she's not scared of Marty finding out. To her, that would honestly just make things easier.

If he caught her, he would be caught right back. Suzy knows he wouldn't cut contact over stealing some tapes, and she hopes Marty still knows she can keep a secret.

She's not scared of what she'll find, and she's not scared of processing it. She just doesn't want to be alone when she does.

When she has a normal conversation with Marty, they both leave it either feeling grounded or like the entire world is ending tomorrow.

When he pitches his band idea, Suzy starts saying they should invite Donaldson just to hear him groan at the idea.

She does think Marty's getting better at the guitar, though.
