Had a dream that I beat the shit out of Mitch McConnell in a Target which led to me going to #jail for a few years, but in jail I learned how to cook from Gordon Ramsay (he taught classes at the jail sometimes) and joined #MasterChef upon my release (as a contestant and then as a judge). #SHAFT was a great example of how to write a movie with a problematic lead well. Phoebe Waller-Bridge talked about writing 007 and she said something along the lines of, "You don't change the character, you just change the people around the character." Shaft is still crude, homophobic, etc, but the other characters don't let him get away with it.
