I still remember the day I fell in love with you it was cloudy but my feeling for you were crystal clear. The blazing heat made me light headed, but every moment with you was like a cool glass of water. Your smile pierced every cloud of doubt in my mind. It was perfect. But my favorite memory is the day I got my self back, the day I finally got over you. It was unbelievably sunny and the rays beat down on my skin and It felt just like your stare used to. I threw my head back and embraced it instead of shadowing my eyes as I used to. A song came on that changed my life and I soaked in every line and for the first time I realized you weren’t the one. That you weren’t ready, and that I was. But I could continue walking forward instead of waiting. The next day I didn’t think of you, and the next, and next were the same. Until I finally looked back and realized where I was going is so much better then what I’ve been through ever could be.

Sometimes I regret being nice, apologizing when I didn’t do anything wrong, and for making unworthy people a priority in my life.

It’s weird to feel like you miss someone you’re not even sure you know.
