Now that I have taken this class, I will begin to figure out the audience I will be writing for, as well as, the content and context of the platform. The class has really helped me identify how I can look at a platform and all of the attributes of it and write geared towards the information architecture, and the overall purpose of the message. I’ve learned that writing isn't just about what I want to say, but how to shape it so it fits the expectations, layout, and tone of the space it’s in, whether that’s a website, social media, or another digital platform. I will continue to draft and do more drafting and peer editing before I post the final version.

One of my favorite shows is Stranger Things, and it really helps me understand angry fandom and how fans react when something they love changes. When characters were killed off, relationships shifted, or the plot started to move away from what made the show great, fans flooded social media with frustration and disappointment. Some even made petitions or vowed to stop watching. Their reactions weren’t just about being mad but they were emotional because they felt connected to the story and its characters. That kind of passion helps me see both sides: the fans who feel hurt or betrayed, and the creators or network who have to respond thoughtfully without making the situation worse.

My favorite genre of show is reality TV with my favorite show being Big Brother. For my project, I chose to make the "Favorite Show" a reality TV show similar to Big Brother. This made the project much easier for me. When creating the angry fan comments, I was thinking of how I would feel if Big Brother cancelled a season right in the middle of it. By doing this, I was able to channel the anger I would feel and put it into the emotions of the angry commenters of the “Favorite Show” cancellation. Overall, making the “Favorite Show” similar to my actual favorite show made this project much easier.

For me I want the connection between fans to be that of those grieving together over a shared connection. Something like reflecting and remembering good times in the show, their favorite moments, characters, and storylines. I want this just like my last post about the reaction to feel genuine and emotional.

A show detail for my Design Project that is upsetting to my audience due to its cancellation is the fact that the plot of the first season ends on a cliffhanger. I wanted to include this cliffhanger aspect in my project because to me, that is the worst and most frustrating time for a show to be cancelled because you are left wondering what fate lies for the characters you have grown attached to. It forces a person to accept only what their imagination gives them about what happens next in the show, which I have seen arouse a great deal of disappointment for fans.

Having a cliffhanger at the end of the show creates fans to are very upset and angry, which leads to a variety of angry fan posts! I personally hate cliffhangers even when I know I can watch the next episode right when I am done!! So, I know the fans will be mad because the show is canceled! You have a great idea that will keep fans engaged.
