He thought that Jean had frozen Peter too and that there was nothing else he could do to stop her taking over the entire city and doing who knew what to everyone! And, notably, he waited until it really did look, from the outside, that Jean had won and that she wasn't listening to Peter. He gave Peter time to talk her down! No wonder he was devastated when Peter took the bullet instead. That's the kid he was trying to save!

I love how in Daredevil, Frank Castle is like this intimidating guy who's a well matched threat to the hero but in Spiderman he's still the same character but Peter just... does not treat him with the same amount of gravity. He webs Frank's mouth shut for swearing and tells him to go home after breaking his van. He argues with the man who's whole deal is he has a lot of weapons and WILL use them like two New Yorkers who got into a fender bender. Peter Parker and Frank Castle see each other coming and they both go "This fucking guy again." I love it.

something something about peter’s age in brand new day. something something about him being stuck in a limbo. Being too old to be part of the young avengers (ms marvel, Kate, America Chavez, maximoff twins, Cassie lang - if marvel ever did do a young avengers thing), has seen too much tragedy, been part of too many fights bigger than a teenager should’ve been part of, but also he’s too young to be part of the avengers too. he’s a kid to most of them because they saw him as a kid first (they might not remember Peter but they remember spiderman ig). He’s not a teenager. he’s an adult but he’s also not. he’s ideally in a limbo!!!????!??!!!! Peter always wanted to fight the big fight in CW and endgame, to grow old but also to just be a teenager and he somehow can’t do either now. something something about the tragedy that is peter parker in brand new day.

can you guys imagine how fuckin pissed logan would be if, after morph starts hooking up with sabretooth to piss him off after s2e5, they start calling sabretooth BY NAME. not even logan does that.
