I'm not the only one

Things to better your mental health: 1. Learn to become autumn- it has a way of settling with letting go. Don’t grasp onto insignificance, it’ll only do you harm. 2. Write. Even if it’s the most upsetting thing you’ve ever written, do it. Writing is venting, it’s a way to come to terms with how you really feel. 3. Look for something you genuinely enjoy doing, if you can’t find it- take risks. Go on a hike, a drive, get out and do things you’re scared of, even if it’s just to say that you did. 4. Breathe. Inhale, exhale. I know, it’s not okay right now, I know it gets too hard, and yes this is cliché but I promise it will pass. Breathe through it. 5. Don’t stop yourself from opening up to people and don’t forget that a lot of us relate in many ways. We all have demons. We all want to help each other. Try to let it happen.

He knew why he wanted to kiss her. Because she was beautiful. And before that, because she was kind. And before that, because she was smart and funny. Because she was exactly the right kind of smart and funny. Because he could imagine taking a long trip with her without ever getting bored. Because whenever he saw something new and interesting, or new and ridiculous, he always wondered what she’d have to say about it–how many stars she’d give it and why.

Sometimes, you just won’t be the one she wants. It won’t matter that you’ll want to know the parts of her she keeps hidden behind countless walls, like that smile you adore. While you’re awake longing for her warmth, she’ll be sleeping soundly, or awake craving someone else. It’s not that you aren’t enough as a person, but for whatever reason she has, it won’t be you that she wishes would be there to fill the emptiness in her bed. And someday you’ll accept that, someday you’ll be okay, but it’s going to hurt first. Oh man, is it going to hurt.
