Thinking about a time loop from the POV of someone who has only ever met the looper within the context of the loops Like, you meet this person, and they seem friendly enough, but there's something about them that you cant quite figure out? And the more time you spend with them the more you get the impression that they're already sick of you, but they keep hiding it and pretending they like you. They sometimes ask weirdly specific questions, like they're trying to guide you to certain conclusions, and the questions follow your exact train of thought, and a lot of them feel almost rehearsed? And then over time you realise that they know too much, that they act like they've done this countless times before. Nothing you say or do ever surprises them, even when you purposefully try to. But then eventually something happens. They stop knowing everything before it happens, they get caught off guard by something you say, and they seem relieved? and they thank you, over and over they thank you, and they cry. They hang around for a while, but leave soon enough, seeming sick of being here. They don't explain anything, and you never see them again.
