Basic feminism doesn't account for the men who have uteruses. A large part of women's oppression is about their uteri and how it supposedly makes them inferior to men.

No that doesn't mean women who don't have uteruses aren't oppressed by misogyny (having a uterus as a women is a damned if you do damned if you don't situation) but reproductive rights have always been a large part of feminism.

That's why we don't need basic feminism, we need intersectional feminism that takes into account men who have uteruses and women who don't and acknowledges the material conditions of both groups.

Proshipping literally just means “I don’t police fiction and I respect that people can create or enjoy things I personally wouldn’t.” It’s about boundaries and consent, not fictional characters. Someone liking a dark story trope does not equal them supporting that thing in reality. We’ve had horror, and taboo themes in fiction for centuries. that’s how humans process fear, trauma, and complicated emotions safely.

Darkshipping is the same idea. It explores toxic, unhealthy, or morally wrong dynamics in fiction, which isn’t endorsement its exploration. Most people watch crime shows without wanting to be criminals. People play fnaf without wanting to kill kids. Fiction is a sandbox for imagination, not a moral confession.

The real problem is when fandom culture starts harassing real people over drawings or stories. You can dislike a ship. You can block it. Control your space. But acting like enjoying fictional content automatically makes someone dangerous is just misinformation and moral panic.

Focus on real harm, not fictional characters.
