Letter: Dear ARMY, Are you doing well in this rainy late summer?  To be honest, I don’t really remember the birthdays I spent before I turned 20 years old. Looking back, they were a bit special and moderately boring. It felt even more like that once I learned that a birthday isn’t a day where I celebrate “me”, but a day where I give thanks to “my parents who gave birth to me”.  On that sweet day of September 12th, I’ve already received overflowing words for the 7th time. Shakespeare once said “We are advertised by our loving friends”. Due to you all, whom I love, I’ve realized that this day has become more well-known and a substantially more special day. I think about if I can become a person who teaches you all about love and little truths and, like always, if my indescribable feelings can reach at least one person.  I can’t say that I have seen all the love that has been poured out today, but I will convey my thanks through this short letter. I hope that we can all be happy for even one more hour. I love you.  Namjoon

it’s plain, yet you can see the focus of the photos is only on themselves. the self is our life’s goal, for it is the completest expression of that fateful combination we call individuality.
