A redraw of Riftanâs imagination scene in Under the Oak Tree. While confessing his undying love for Maxi, he imagined himself lying peacefully on her lap in the field of white flowers. The references are the pic from manhwa and one scene that seems to be from a movieâŹď¸
After rereading the manhwa of Under the Oak Tree and seeing the chapter with Maxiâs first appearance as the lady of Calypse Castle, I immediately fell in love with the scene in which she raised her head to look at Riftan. I quickly decided to do a portrait of her in this brilliant yellow dress with the strawberries in the background (just like the ones in the manhwa panel). I hope I did make her look as lovely as possible.
Under the Oak Tree is clearly inspired by the medieval world based on the background charactersâ attire and social systems related to that period. In my opinion, the story is most likely set in 14th-15th century European world. Although Maxi did try on the classical hennin hat and long dress in one chapter of the manhwa, I would still assume that the 14th century fashion is more frequent in her daily wardrobe.
I quickly did a little bit of research on the fashion of that century and drew the dress-up steps of Maxi if she were wearing the historically-accurate version of clothings. She would have to put on stockings secured by garters on both legs instead of leaving them empty. Plus since she was a married woman, she must put her hair in braids and pin them up and put them under the veil for modesty reasons (no letting hair down whatsoever).
Ps. Iâm not a fashion historian so this picture may have a few inaccuracies.
Maxi and Riftan in a local festival. Although the couple didnât dance during this scene in novel or comic, still I love the happy moments Maxi had and the lovely dress she wore. Also her interaction with Riftan was pretty funny.

Some sketches of jujutsu kaisen I have done in the past few months. Most of them are Gojo though there are also toge, megumi, and yuta!! These are based on certain scenes and official art of the anime. I started to watch jjk under my bffâs strong recommendation. Iâm currently obsessed with Gojo satoru and heâs just so strong, handsome, and hilarious at the same time (o^^o) I really look forward to his appearance in season 2.

Mai and Ty Lee from ATLA. They are dressed in Chinese historical clothings from Ming Dynasty. Mai is quietly observing the plum blossoms and the petals in the first drawing; Ty Lee is looking at a branch of peach blossoms and standing under the flower tree.

Another Prince of Egypt fanart!! This time the two princes are spending time with their mother (Queen Tuya) by laying their heads on her laps. Ramses is soon asleep while Moses is making a lot of cute gestures to keep the queenâs attention on him. Iâm pretty sure that both of them prefer to be in the company of their loving mother (for her gentle and calming nature offers them a distraction from their strict father :D).
A movie fan art of The Prince of Egypt. It is an AU (not really haha) about Moses and his âbrotherâ Ramses getting into mischief by planning to paint stuff on the priestsâ faces while they are asleep. The outcome of this trouble making is that the poor priests report this incidence to the pharaoh and Ramses gets the most scolding even though he was simply going along with Mosesâ plan!
I always have the thought of drawing Ramses and Moses hanging out as little kids ever since I watched the movie (which is something the movie doesnât show). I love their brotherly relationship and still feel pity about how they turn against each other due to the difference in their beliefâŚ
A scene from Encanto in the song What Else Can I Do. It's one of the best scenes in my opinion. In this part we not only get to see Isabela's free spirit, but also the sisterly bond between those two girls

After seeing many artists redrawing this moment on instagram, I decided to give a try and draw the mother and the daughter in my style. I know Anne Boleyn's death anniversary has already passed, but I would still upload it here as a tribute. I made Elizabeth looking very energetic while Anne looking very much in despair. It is to reflect the sadness of this moment and the fact that the little princess doesn't even know that her mother is about to leave her... The original artwork is by Gustaf Wappers.

Don't know if this drawing will become a spoiler to some people but I post it after the book's webcomic adaptation ended. This is a scene that should take place sometime between the final chapter and the epilogue; it shows Shazi and Khalid welcomed their newborn baby after the birth (as we all know they have a son named Haroun at the end of the series). Really wish that the author could write a bonus chapter depicting this joyous moment and we would really love to see our main couple's loving moments!!
BTW I'm not good at drawing males...
