SPOILERS:

1) So this is obvious, he’s seen as very homophobic and he also has church pamphlets. I thought there was more to this, and I was right!

2) To achieve, Attonement, you have to talk to Travis in the bathroom (and the dialogue must be in a particular order- 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd- I think)

3) Before you talk to Travis, you can pick up and read a note left near the trash can of the bathroom. It’s like a semi-love note and a semi-confessional note. It basically says something along the lines of ‘I can’t stop thinking about you, but these feelings are unnatural, I wish you I could tell you how I feel’

4) Because Travis is in the bathroom, it can be assumed to implied that Travis wrote this.

5) This is backed up when you talk to Travis, as he explains that he comes from a very religious family and that he really doesn’t hate Sally or the gang. He feels extremely pressured to believe this way.

Conclusion: With all this, I think Travis might actually have a crush on Sally Face or someone else in the gang, but can’t express it because of his family.
