The song is from Jean and Pieck's pov. After the rumbling, JP is left with their thoughts. They muse how they got out alive, now bonded to work with the enemy for the rest of their lives. If they were even supposed to be living.

Both know they participated in this cruel game before the rumbling, they feel guilty of their past actions. They don't feel they deserve this ending, when so many innocent lives were lost.

Divine intervention, Eren and Ymir. Jean was titanised by the end of 138, Pieck had a few years left. Both had a second chance at life, now as new people (roles).

A strange twist of fate (all that happened from chapter 1 to 139) brought them to this point. Now that they get a second shot at life, they want to live it better.

The second time around

They never had the luxury of loving freely. Pieck was a warrior who spent her time in wars, her and her father's status would be in danger, for Jean even if he loved he could be losing her in any second.

At their second attemp at life, Pieck and Jean find love at each other. Life finally means something.

Don't understand what's going on

This is a new beginning

I'm back in the land of the living

Finally they feel like living. Confused by their feelings, now they have something to look forward to when they wake up. Their love.

My first anime that I watched by myself was Darker Than Black. It was crime and mystery, how I like it.

Right now my #1 favorite character is Pieck. I like Deku (MHA), Yato (Noragami) from other shows.

I think initially traveling the world and learning about the climate, culture and politics of other countries as an ambassador could be enjoyable to Pieck. She would hoard books and try to learn the languages but she is more messy about this than Armin. Chess. Beating Jean's ass in chess. I see her singing when they visit a bar. Watching Jean play sports and support the opposite team (sometimes) to annoy him.

Pieck is my favorite character and I truly enjoy every interaction she has with any character. She has great humor and wits so she becomes a great duo with people.

My favorite is Jeanpiku. I have already written why I love them, I can write it again in another ask if you want. (Cause it'll be long)

I loved Pokkopiku because I thought they had great platonic friendship and recently I am seeing them as romantic interests too. Pieck has most chances of being real with Porco. But at the same time, their dynamic is great as just friends too, I don't want to ruin that image. (Cause I love male/female friendships)

I am intrigued with Jikupiku. Their moments in manga tell me they have an interesting relationship going on. It is very fitting of a crime couple (or something like Mr. and Mrs. Smith) which I love. Both INTPs, which is hilarious.

Pikuhan is a funny dynamic. I'd love to see them more, since Hange is one of my favorites too. Perhaps after Pieck. I love their incorrect quotes and art. I love how different their energies are despite having similar mbtis. (ENTPxINTP)

Pikuannie is beautiful. They have similar vibes and I love to imagine them as friends. I ship it casually but every time I see an art or interaction, I go wild.
