I do understand why noncon is often portrayed as like, this special category of bad thing that can happen to a character, the worst of the worst, but I think it’s also quite interesting to consider a character for whom being raped is just a thing that happens alongside a bunch of other awful shit, maybe even something that is easier to bear than some of the other things they are subjected to, something that doesn’t really hold any significance in comparison because it’s just sex at the end of the day, and sex is something they at least know how to handle
