Valvatorez’s pointed ears perked upon hearing the girl’s response. How serendipitous that his servant would come directly to him. Punctuality was a desirable quality of a vassal, and she seemed attentive to boot. Whatever higher powers that be assigned him such a servant were to be commended. From first impressions it was clear she was no Fenrich, but the jury was out on whether that was a good or bad thing. For now, it was great.

“Your timing is perfect, Caster! I’m sure you’ve been briefed, but allow me a proper introduction.” As though he had rehearsed for this very moment, he threw his arms up in dramatic fashion, his cap fluttering behind him. “I am Valvatorez, a Prinny Instructor! You’ll find no demon better suited to re-educating Prinnies in all the Netherworld! From this day forward, you and I will be sworn all–”

Another sharp growl from his stomach killed the mood, and his expression deflated to that of a miserable child. If they couldn’t find any sardines soon, he was liable to shrivel up into nothingness. “Y-Yes, well…” He cleared his throat. “We should look for that map. The sooner we refuel, the sooner we can discuss this ‘calamity.’” A light bulb went off in his head. From inside his pocket he procured a small, translucent blue cube he received earlier. “This may provide us info…Hmhmhm. I can almost taste the sardines now!”

   It seemed he was quite the lively demon but she wasn’t going to argue about that. Refreshing really by how she held back a laugh temporarily. Valvatorez at least helped get this off further to a good start between their introductions, so she won’t complain by much about him. ❝Prinny? I never heard of those before, though I can save questions until after we find you your meal.❞ She may not look it after all but she can be a smart girl and sharp whenever she pleases in all her whimsical nature. ❝So now all we need to do is figure out where to go if it has a map, maybe stock up a bit for you as well, master?❞ What a polite child but nothing unusual. Yokai as they got older are known for being more ‘polite’, depending on the person of course.

   Though if he had any questions for her, she won’t stop him from asking along the way. ❝This is truly going to be my first experience with technology, outside of what little I got shown before. Where I came from, it was more ah... I suppose behind? So I may need help learning.❞ Better to get that out the way, Yukari probably knows the most compared to her yet now she regretted not asking further about it. It would have been a good idea to do that before being transported there.

          Somehow he had ended up eating of all the things he could be spending his time doing. His stomach was a serious matter– but, Aladdin was a Servant now too. He didn’t need to eat. He was sustained by his Master. But neither did the woman siting next to him by the bar, a fellow Servant from the way the rukh sang around her, yet both were consuming a hefty amount of food for two people. Neither had said a word to one another, a mutual understanding that the food was more important than any conversation would be, but then the food was gone and the waiter had yet to provide any more. The wait for the new dishes had begun, and the only sound was the music in the background, playing from old speakers above them. 

          ❝ You know, all-you-can-eat restaurants don’t exist where I’m from. I have to say, we’re missing out on something wonderful,❞ he hummed after a minute, wiping his mouth with the napkin next to him. Sure the building they were in was old, and very cheap, but that didn’t mean the food wasn’t good. ❝ I could stay here for hours. ❞

   ❝They don’t exist where I come from either! It’s a pity, they could help solve some problems for someone I know.❞ Then again, she didn’t need to eat in general though here she was instead opting to savor a meal whilst thinking about her situation. Truth be told she was going to miss her dependable yet half baked guardian and a certain sukima but she had a feeling she might run into one of them if anything with how this place is structured. ❝It is a nice idea in practice, maybe I could talk to someone about it later if the opportunity to go home arises.❞ The death princess seemed to be in a good mood even with another Servant beside her, he wasn’t harming her anyway and it was more casual conversation.
