hello, sophia! it’s been a while, right? let’s clear a few things up in this post, since you seem to have a misunderstanding of this situation:

no one knew who corvid was (except for me) and they literally thought his bio was a fucked up joke about covid 19

nor did they know he’s trans until you said that he was

and even tho i do know y’all, since no one talked inside of the red ink syndicate since february? i forgot who the fuck y’all were until i saw you responded to this mess that he started

so, pray tell, how are they mocking trans people’s name? esp since you’re responding to someone who is trans themselves. stop. this already spiraled out of control enough.

anyways if it was a misunderstanding re: people thought it was a Fucked Up Joke sure i’m willing to say that calling out someone making light of a pandemic wouldnt be transphobic. however if people had been making fun of a trans person’s name... that would indeed be transphobic. supporting / condoning / excusing that action would also be transphobic. being a part of the trans community doesnt make someone immune to acting in transphobic ways. + i agree, that joke would have been fucked up to make. this Is A Global Pandemic And It’s Not To Be Taken Lightly, and it’s good to call out people who are making it into a joke. i have had loved ones contract it and am immunocompromised myself. i wouldn’t be ok with people memeing on it either.

but it was misconstrued both ways (corvid thinking they had made fun of his name and turned it into a Joke about the pandemic, something others have already given him a lot of grief over as of late, them thinking his name/age were memeing on the pandemic) and no one clarified because i got blocked left right and centre so. thank u for explaining the point of communication breakdown re: people interpreting it as a cruel joke + people interpreting it as people mocking someones chosen name by turning it into a cruel joke.

if you're being rude don't expect people to be respectful towards you?

do... do y’all hear yourself sometimes if you think it’s okay to mock a person’s name period than you’re a) not a nice person and b) in this particular case, youre not an ally of the trans community. you do not get to pick and choose which trans people are the “good trans people” and thus deserving of respect wrt their names not being made into mocking jokes, actually. peoples names are their names. you dont get to choose which ones are seen as “real names” or “should be taken seriously” in general it is not ok to mock peoples names (often these are ethnic names that people mock, i would know, having lived experience as a south east asian woman and people make crass jokes out of vietnamese names in particular) but also like... no one has to /earn/ you using their proper name. it’s their name. use it.
