hey everyone !! i’m not dead !!

as you could probably tell, i haven’t been in here in quite a while because school has started back up and i’ve been over on my dctv blogs

recently i decided to make a mutlimuse and will be graham, kilian ( @sailingwithavengeance ) & david ( @onexhalfofaheart ) over there

i plan to be more active with this new blog and i’d love to continue the threads i have here 

Killian was fast asleep on the couch, Hope was nestled in his arms and his hook was in the middle of the coffee table. Feet were propped up, his daughter had her head on his chest and the tv was at a low volume so not disturb the small girl. Somewhere between her falling asleep and waiting for Emma to come home from a half day at the sheriff’s station, he had dozed off solely because raising a child was a lot of work. And he was willing to do everything but it was quiet and he was taking advantage of the moment to what felt like some needed rest. 

When he heard the front door open, his hand moved to Hope’s back though he remained asleep as his head lulled to the side to rest on his shoulder. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that he felt Emma’s hands squeezing gently on his shoulders and he stirred awake. The pirate’s lips tugged into a small smile, neck craning back to get a better look at her. “Hello, love.” His eyes closed for another moment or so and couldn’t help but let out a yawn. 

She tried to picture it and maybe it was the setting they were in now with the ball room and the dress and the dancing but she found it quite easy to see herself in that old room she once was in… no longer torn apart by a curse that didn’t happen and instead of a crib and baby toys it was a bed and more like the room she was in getting ready with big elegant mirrors and dressings, the room she’d have waited in for him to sneak into past any guards that he was imagining too. 

“I have a feeling you would have managed… and I might’ve helped.” She smiled, bowing her head a little bashfully before looking up at him again. “My mother certainly seems like the more reasonable one of the two but in either world he means well.” 

During his pirate days, he never visited many castles. The taverns in town were more than capable to handle himself and his crew and when they did need money, they stole from people travelling on the road. Given all the travelling he did, he figured he would have stayed loyal to Emma and if their relationship right now was anything to go bye, he probably would have fallen pretty hard for her if the curse hadn’t happened. They both helped each other heal and he was extremely grateful for that otherwise he would have sunk further into that darkness he’d given into after losing his first love.

“Dad!” Hope called out, her laugh trailing as she ran around the deck heading towards what she liked to call the diving board even though that was never it’s original intent. “Catch me!” Her short legs were probably no match for his long ones but that head start she got on him would be good enough. She knew one way or another that she would be okay though because either he’d catch her or the Sea would be waiting too when she jumped off into the water. She could practically feel her mother’s eyes off on the dock looking up to see her running and all it did was make her laugh even louder.
